I forgot how much I paid for it, but my money was well spent.

I'm not pissed about TF2 going free-to-play.
What I am pissed about is how they're going to free to play then making all these weapons have ridiculous crafting recipes so you have to basically buy it to get it any reasonable time frame. Unless of course you've been idling and stocking up this entire time.

We get premium account status and a hat. They could have easily fucked us over and force us all to pay a premium account status but they didn't. How is that not giving a shit about people who paid for it?

Okay, lower the price of a game after a couple of months or years is fine. It still gives the game a reason to be bought. While making a game completely free after four years is utter bullshit.
Take a look at Half-Life(GoldSrc). Valves OLDEST game. It has been out for nearly a decade and a half, the price has gone down to $10. The only way to play it, without getting into trouble, is by buying it. BC2 is a great game, and is at a $20 bucks. Only $30 less from its original price. It is only a year old, the price had to come down eventually. It is also the only way to play legally. Now when you make a game, that is younger than another product for free, ABSOLUTELY free,(meaning no limited time only, no this weekend only, none of that). And there are still people buying it, you are going to have a lot of pissed off consumers who want there money back, especially those who've bought it recently, and when it first hit store shelves.
Oh well, I spent $40 on a pack of games well played over 600 hours.
I'm happy either way.
I'll just keep to the servers that I'm familiar with from now on. No pubs for the rest of my life.

If you must know, I've only had the game for nearly a year and a half. And yes I have gotten entertainment whenever I can play TF2, since my home PC is too shitty to run TF2.

What I meant to say is that, like I said before, the people who have worked hard to get it, or barley got it last month, last week, yesterday should get something in return from Valve. That's all I'm trying to say.
As long as i can play tf2 on my favorite server im happy.
Also i doubt there will be as many hackers as people say there will be.From my experiences from playing on servers that allow pirates on,only once in a blue moon did i actually see an aimbotter,and they usually got banned in a few minutes of playing
I hope they separate the servers like Trackmania did. Free members play on free servers, regulars go back to normal life, except paid can play with the free guys if they choose to.
