TF2 is now free-to-play - Games

I don't know if its just me, but I can't even update TF2. The game says its unavailable and is usually saying the servers are too busy. Ugh. I'm guessing this is because the mob of new players. I wouldn't be surprised if this happens tomorrow too.

Just because other people are fortunate and can play it for free does not mean that you deserve something extra.

I think you guys are overreacting, my only concern is the possibility of constant flow of hackers coming into TF2.

I feel sorry for people who spent 10$ to buy TF2 a couple days ago and now it's free. People who got it years ago shouldn't be bitching.

So what everybody else is aying is that it's "tough shit" and that other people were just more fortunate to play it for free, while I still have a charge on my account history for this game. I don't see how even something extra for those who paid already is a big issue.

Everyone here who is complaining about it being free and claim to be 'fans' of Valve/TF2, fuck you. Just flat-out fuck you, don't claim to be Valve fans to me at ALL. I bought this game three times really, first on my old account that I forgot the password to, secondly on my new account for the Orange Box, thirdly when I got the Valve Complete pack and I'm happy each and every dollar I've spent on this game. Valve deserves it for making such a good game. Hell, compared to other games out there I'd say it's worth $30, not the twenty they have been selling it for. Now that it's free, I would [i]still[/i] pay damn good money for the game. For people who recently bought it, I feel sorry for though, for they have a reason to complain, not the neckbeards who have spent hundreds of hours on the game and complain when Valve let's an influx of players and possibly a better community in by making it free. Whether they're malicious or not, it will ban people if they modify anything.

I agree that it would be a nice gesture if Valve gave a little something to the people who paid, but it is still completely fair if they do not.
