You know, I don't really feel entitled to special items or anything from buying it, but I still dislike the influx of players that'll come. I'm sure almost everyone here has played a F2P shooter before, and amount of people calling each other "homo fag hackers" is astounding. I know this won't apply to anyone, but I really don't feel a need for more players. The servers I frequent are already full most of the time, and more players won't really help the situation.

i've played plenty of not free FPS's before the the communities are still awful

The entire mood of the video is [i]1960's B-movie exploitation[/i], which instantly proved to me that the artstyle and aesthetics of the game (and the people behind it) weren't as dead as I assumed. The humor, the writing, the acting and setup, all brilliant.
I have 4 friends who just started playing in the last week. Ouch.
Only time will tell what will happen to TF2, although an almost immediate effect would be saturation in the servers.
Other than that, I'm really happy about meet the medic, It's the best one so far. Thanks Valve for being such an awesome company.

I'm happy but worried about this. Attracting new players is great and I have nothing against that, but I don't want to see COD kids or anything similar.
If that's the case, then we'll be seeing TF2 montages with heavy editing and shit music in no time.

The 'economy' was being ran by a bunch of brazilians who actually paid for a retail game.. Imagine the poor dirt-farmers who are going to migrate here from runescape or some bullshit......

There won't be many idling accounts imo because they're not free at all since you have to buy something from the store in order to trade and although the jumpers cost 50 cents, the minimum amount you can add to your wallet is 5$ which you have to spend in the Mann Co. Store.
