TF2 is now free-to-play - Games

I don't understand why everyone is flipping shit over this. I mean I realize the game will have more asswipes and newbies in it, but everyone was there at some point, better yet, you look like a moron for bashing newcomers, reason stated above. Will it really kill you to make a passworded server and give out the password en masse to players you know are respectable? Maybe someone will find out a method of only allowing premium accounts. Plus this'll keep the game alive and kicking. Lots'o players.

Now i can enjoy playing with these Cod children forever! I just love how they call this to cartoon version of Call of Duty and how they start a fucking tornado via mic when you kill them while they're having a "kill streak".

The new items are ridicously over priced to craft. Almost costs a refined to craft it, 2 reclaimed per item.

This update makes me uncomfortable.

Lets put it this way. F2P = money via mannco store. Money = resources to create new updates. Updates = more stuff for the F2Pers to blow their money on = more incentive to produce updates. ergo TF2P = More updates.

I've been through a lot of MMOs that went complete shit when F2P came out. Let's hope TF2 is different.

I'm just glad now we have Valve servers. No more sifting through endless fake player counts and Nightteam garbage.

I have 465 hours of playing, maybe 24 hours of it being idling before the engineer update. I'm totally fine with this. It was released 3 years ago. I do understand people who bought it and have <30 hours being mad.

You are comparing Valve making this game free to play to an event where Valve deleted all the items gained from the idling program that does the same thing as actually idling in-game with absolutely no warning even when so many people asked Valve what their stance was on it. Anyways you guys are morons for complaining about a free update that made this game free to play after 4 years.
