TF2 is now free-to-play - Games

And along with a fix, you get 5 new weapons, a few cosmetic things and a new oogly-googly feature. I can see absolutely no reason why the TF2 community has any reason to complain the amount they do about anything really. I hate how people are acting like we dont have a right to bitch, I just joined my favorite server to see the majority of players with 180 ping, and a bunch of people speaking in Korean. And how the hell shouldn't we be upset that valve pretty much sold out the community just to get more hat sales?

The TF2 community is taking valve for granted, and have gotten use to getting hundreds of dollars worth in content for free. And now they are mad that other people are getting it for free aswell.

Also, hats do play an importance in the game. It allows a person to be recognized and have a way of customizing themselves in the way they want. Regarding the TF2 Community's complaining, I think they're entitled to it. People have put hours into this game, and when a change occurs that they aren't used to, they'll tend to complain. Happens everywhere, not just TF2. Hell, the only thing I've ever complained about was when they fixed the Rocket Jumper and Sticky Jumper. Well, anyway, enjoy being a free-user. Should be loads of fun.

The idea of VAC only really works if the game they are hacking on is not free. If it is, wait till ban, new account. That is my only complaint. Hacking bans should be instant for TF2.
