You bought the game 4 years ago, Valve has been kind enough to keep throwing updates, events, content, etc for you guys over the past 4 years without forcing you to pay for ANY OF IT and now that TF2 is F2P, you want your money back? People who don't want to play with "F2P people" are idiots. Not all of them are gonna be 13 year old scrubs looking for free games all the time. There might be a shit load of experienced FPS players coming from this who now have the chance to try it. Fuck, people still play TFC because they couldn't afford TF2 or think it wasn't as good, because of this they can try and will probably enjoy it.

No, not really. I don't mind that TF2 is F2P now. Now TF2's population will jump, more servers will get attention and Valve will have more income with the F2P players wanting premium or don't want to wait on drops and crafts for weapons.

There's no fee, if you buy anything from the store you get premium TF2. Plus people are mainly bitching because they want their allowance back.

Okay so you find a new server and play it
I played with few F2P players today. I built a sentry, and told the demoman from the other team (he died 3 times in a row, attacking sentry with normal grenades) to use stickies against buildings. He destroyed my sentry, and smashed my shull with the Ol' Scrumpy bottle.
He said "Thanks for the tip!" and left the server.
