TF2 is now free-to-play - Games

Alright, what's with all of this "BR?" business. I've been playing this game since 2007 but I'm still clueless because I don't visit shitty servers (that often).

Playing spy against these kids is like playing spy against bots. Except bots don't rage.

The best argument I've heard is "would you get mad if you paid to watch a movie then it was shown on television three years later?" Also helping free players owns and is really fun.

I dont really like this, but you guys are WAY too butthurt over it. Many free games dont have hackers or a lot of idiots, after all, almost everyone who was playing before is gonna keep playing TF2.

I tried coaching some of the new players, And, they would not follow my instructions, the one thing they all had in common, F2P. I'm trying, but it's still difficult.

Well, shit

Made a new account, went on to a server and telegraphed everything I was doing in the chat in the form of "how do i" or "what just." Much laughter was had.

Other than this attracting a horde of morons, bro-gamers and otherwise undesirables. I can't really see a problem with it. Do those who bought it have anything to signify this? Is the item system modified in any way or something? I can kind of see this as Valves jumping off point for TF2, the last update was pretty fucking big, and now the game is free. The store is supporting it, clearly, but I have a feeling we won't be seeing as many massive updates any more.

Wow tf2 hasn't been this popular in a while. 70k players right now.

Got a score of 175 on one of the SourceOP servers with the Tomislav and a few good medics.

I seriously do not want to see a bad segregation between the free players and the premium players. Its these kinds of games which totally end up destroying itself because of the hate players will have between each other. It'll affect the game badly if this turns out the be the case. I sincerely hope I am proven wrong, though.

Frankly this'll be like the mac update, at first all the current players will get hugely butthurt over the 'influx of noobs' to tf2. Within a couple weeks you won't be able to tell whos f2p and who isn't. Just like you can't tell whos using a mac now and who isn't. And about the segregation thing, all the current players will be hating the new players becuase apprently a new player is the first sign of the coming apocalypse. And all the new players will probably be wondering why all these people take a videogame so seriously.

Why are you guys so upset about newbies and their newbie-tis? We've all been the same on our first days, and now there are bloody riots in North Africa and Middle East because Valve are experimenting their new business plans. You all demand a refund, that means we should get a demand as well if we didn't like a certain movie or if the weed was bad. As for the fresh meat, they'll soon get the hang of it and settle to the game communities. I bet :10bux: that there will be massive influx of registrations sometime in here, focusing on this sub-forum. We can always share our knowledge too.

We should get our money back and have it doubled into store credit. I said doubled as an example. It could also be tripled, quadrupled, etc. The point is that the store credit is still fake money, no matter how big the number is. The games you can buy is just data that can be replicated.

I enjoy these new players, and especially how people are playing around with the new weapons. I just HAD to have the new Soldier whip after seeing it in action.
