TF2 is now free-to-play - Games

My god, I was just on a Valve server and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Half our team were spies and snipers, someone asked "y cant u quikscope" and perhaps the crowning moment of funny, some engineer had managed to box himself in with his sentrygun (which was facing the wall) and dispenser and spent the entire round desperately trying to jump out.

So i was playing spy and managed to use the same disguise three times and not die killed two snipers an engineer and a scout, and I am horrible with the spy.

As much as I don't like the fact that there may be an influx of hackers and spammers, I love that now anyone can enjoy tf2. It is probably the most fun I have had online, and I really think everyone should be able to try it. And now they can :D I can't wait to help the new ones out.

The only problem I'd have with TF2 going F2P is that all the people who bought the game 4 years ago will claim that such [I]LOYAL[/I] customers deserve about 30 new hats. oh wait i just loaded up TF2 and got a free hat that i'm never going to use

PROS to the F2P UPDATE My friends finally get to play with me No more sifting through hordes of crappy 32/Instaspawn/2Fort/Dustbowl BONANZA crapcrap 24 Man Servers are now actually filling up instead of always saying 0/24 Less idiots offering you 2 refined for your Flaming Hound Dog because they can't trade Did I mention how fun it is pubstomping newbies with Vanilla Demoman? Cause it is AWESOME

Just played with a bunch of F2P Players. I find it kinda cute how they're all so clueless.

When a sniper rifle is scoped in, the aim system increases the accuracy drastically. This effect is applied now matter how long the scope is held for, so by bringing it up for under a second, you can fire the sniper rifle like a pistol basically as you still have full freedom of movement and can see everything due to the overlay not being applied quickly enough.

I airblasted a rocket back at an aimbotting soldier and killed him. Fun times.
