How about you guys watch Meet the Medic all the way to the end then come back in the thread.
;30668973']Go on the Steam page for TF2. Says free week. I hope it's not forever. [editline]Edit:[/editline] People who payed should get Mann Co credit, money in their Steam Wallet or some shit.
It says free forever at the end of Meet the Medic.
He was right. :saddowns: I understand the kindness factor, but something inside me dislikes it. Perhaps the fact that the community will escentially drown itself in it's own newcomers.
TF2.Com window name is now Team Fortress 2 - Free-to-play
Are you mad because your of the people who barley got this game because it's free? How about you think of it from our point of view, the people who used their money to buy this game.
No, although I can certainly understand the complaints of those who recently purchased the game. It's regrettable, but at least it's only - what - $10? I've missed worse, spent too early or too late. It's stupid, yes, but there's no use in clinging to the frustration. What I'm angry about is the long-time players - those who have had this game for more than a few months - whining like children because others are now allowed to play the game for free. I've never seen the community act this childish, selfish, and - above all - mean. I'm not very surprised, but I'm very disappointed.
How is Valve supposed to prevent hacking? Banning quicker ruins the whole point of VAC's delayed ban system.

with valve getting probably few sales off tf2 and tons off the tf2 store, this is a sensible decision in addition, this brings more customers into steam to try out tf2, so the launch of ea's origin platform may have in part convinced valve to do this to compete also its rather sneaky that right when they bring a ton of new steam users in, they move portal 2 back to the first store home advertisement slot :v:
"hey guise u r wrong it says free week on steam haha i didnt bother reeding dis thread because who can read when i can get good ratings for being helpful loloololol"
Hey, I did read. I'm saying I don't know which to believe. [sp]Also atleast I don't use a fucking Mac.[/sp]
I swear to god, all the TF2 community does is bitch. Bunch of ungrateful niggers.
Yeah, we are ungrateful because we complain when Valve turns our favorite FPS into a cluttered pay-to-win FPS where cosmetic items are more important than actually playing the game and then fuck us over by giving the game we bought for free.
I actually like this, now I can play with my RL friends!
Don't know why people get so upset because people actually want something because they paid for it in the start. I actually paid the full price for TF2 when it came out and didn't buy the orangebox.
I've never seen the community act this childish, selfish, and - above all - mean. I'm not very surprised, but I'm very disappointed.
Thanks for the insults, you're not making me want to react differently.
Fuck Mann Co., that was the thing that ruined TF2, having to waste money for fucking hats. I want Steam wallet credit, I deserve my money back.
its twenty dollars its twenty goddamn dollars
Thanks for the insults, you're not making me want to react differently.
children can't stop acting like children, thats true
;30669089']Hey, I did read. I'm saying I don't know which to believe. Also atleast I don't use a fucking Mac.
Wow, your tough.
Anyone whining about wanting their cash back, just do me a favor and uninstall the game. I hope they don't give anything to us old veterans. I've gotten more than enough entertainment out of this game to warrant the $20 I paid for it 10 days after launch.
children can't stop acting like children, thats true
Pot calling the kettle black.
its twenty dollars its twenty goddamn dollars children can't stop acting like children, thats true
Money is money. Some people aren't rich. Twenty dollars may have been alot to someone out there.
Maybe our perk is that only we have access to the Team Fortress 2 Beta.
its twenty dollars its twenty goddamn dollars
Twenty dollars JUST for Mann Co.? No thank you. I'd rather earn my hats and weapons than buy them.

Q. Won’t going Free to Play mean more griefers and cheaters? If a new player on a Free account upgrades to a premium account and indicates that you were their most helpful friend, you will receive a wearable item. Helping new users via the Coaching feature is a great way to meet new players and help them out! They didn't even answer the fucking question.
People who think they deserve something because they bought it. You did get something, 4 years of updates. I bought game when it was released. I don't mind that it's free, it's an old game, and they've done nothing but free updated. Stop bitching

I call bullshit

They got the answers mixed up
We’re increasing our focus on making sure that hostile players can’t ruin your fun. Specifically, we’ll be keeping a close eye on players exploiting the ability to make infinite free accounts to bypass bans. We’ve built systems that’ll allow us to measure and track what these players are doing, and respond quickly.
