So how would I go about just switching the effects, such as making the minigun have fire, and the rocket launcher use the minigun effect, and so on? I realize it will look shitty, but I want to test it out. Do I simply change the paths? Or do I have to switch the actual files and rename them?

Wow old thread. I find it funny how everyone was acting like it would be so easy, then just started stumbling around commenting about how they found this file and that particle effect ect. Nobody seemed to realize that the second post was correct. You can't just replace a particle effect with a model. That's not how it works.
