TF2 Update 7/1/2011 - Games

I purchased it because it was fucking awesome, but like the laughing taunt it should have been in the crate too. It's purchase-only which is the first thing to be purchase-only in the store, and it worries me incase they start bringing in other cool things that are purchase-only.

Sniper vs Spy came first, introducing hats. After that came the classless update which added 2 more hats for each class. [editline]2nd July 2011[/editline] At that time everything was fine. Every class had 3 hats and it was all good.

These new summer items are great for trading. I bought two keys yesterday, got a crate from someone for free, (he didn't want it) opened it, got the Postal Pummeler. Seeing as how I don't use the Axtinguisher that often, I just traded it away. I managed to get a Soda Popper for it. (I could've got a Reserve Shooter, which I also needed, from someone else.) Then, later traded away two paint for another crate, (didn't want the paints anyway, they weren't that good colours) got a Nessie's Nine Iron. The guy from earlier who had the Reserve Shooter (it was all on the same server, they were all regulars there) wanted it, but, I wanted to see what else other people had first. A guy on my friends list sent me a trade request, gave me the Quick-Fix and the Overdose for it. The Reserve Shooter guy was kinda annoyed at me for declining his trade offer twice, but it was kinda funny and it's OK. I'll try to make it up to him if I get another crate. So, overall, by buying two keys, I managed to get 3 new items I didn't have and no longer need to find a GRU, Crossbow, Kritzkrieg and need to get one less Bonk and 1 less Refined. I dunno about you but I'd call that a profit.

sorry if this has already been posted, but I can't be bothered reading through all the pages (I did make an effort though by googling and what not). I also couldn't find a more appropriate thread than this.. I'm having problems with the "Escape the Heat" achievement. It just simply, won't work. To my understanding, all you need to do is be ignited by a pyro and then jump in the water, whilst still on fire (if I'm wrong please correct me). I've done this on 2fort as Soldier, Heavy and Scout, and I still haven't received the achievement. Any help would be appreciated :smile:

I let him hit me with a flare before thanking him and dunking myself in the moat. Achievement get, closed TF2. Simple as that.

I wonder how hard it would have been to add a shirt bodygroup for Spy, so we wouldn't have some clipping errors with the undershirt. And it would also allow people to make more undershirt type items.
