I'm not sure if he did it or not though. He's making a KK backpack now.
He said he was planning on going to the fairway/hitting range for today, but you dissuaded him from doing that in favor of L4D2 sounds. :v:
Dunno what his final verdict was.
A taunt would be cool too.
he swings the golf club hard in front of him, taunt killing anyone unlucky enough.
Unlike the eyelander taunt, this one hits foward more(longer range), while the eyelander taunt hits more side to side.
[sp]Me commenting on the golf club needs stats thread.[/sp]
honestly I'd be happy if the golf club had bottle stats but did some kind of mackerel type thing where it makes a loud golf swing noise and the enemy's head goes flying.
Maybe dummy stats like longer melee range and -10% swing speed just so it's not a gimmicky reskin.
I still want a special taunt.

Well that's really up to Valve's animators. They'll pick up little projects like taunt animations when they feel like it. From Political Gamer's interview with Robin Walker, it seems that employees work at their own pace and at their own discretion for things like that.

So their own pace is nothing? Other than those taunts you have to pay for.

that's 10 new, highly detailed and fluid animations right there.
"We should do animations for weapons that have unfitting ones, such as the LnL."
"We'll do it at our own pace."
"..What pace?"

It will be done in 1 year.
In valve time. :v:
I like how a good 40% of weapons in the game don't have taunts and/or broken animations (saxxy viewmodel animations on the new demosword, valve? Really? You make animations for a very specific item and now you're trying to squeeze other things in to the specifically positioned fingers?) and the last major update put 10 taunts in the store for us to buy.
I still think the Meet the Medic taunt should have been the default Quick-Fix taunt. It's BS that it wasn't.

Actually, its pain train animations.
Actually, its pain train animations.
pain train never had animations, it uses the saxxy viewmodels

Is that a joke? Pain train was made before the saxxy was.
I hate how specific the allclass melee animations are, it's a really bad idea

pain train uses bottle animations
persian persuader uses saxxy animations
bad reading

I'm sure it'll be taken care of as quickly as the loch n load was
oh wait
dammit valve fix yo game
Allclass melee anims should be fixed up then applied to the Ullapool Caber, because it's too hard to tell if it's blown up yet or not

All-class melee viewmodels should at least have a more neutral finger positioning. I'm not an animation expert, matter of fact I've got no idea how it works but it really seems like it would only be a five minute job to tweak the position of the fingers so they aren't inside the sword.
Same goes for the bust of hippocrates, it needs its fingers messed with too.

Even better when it explodes and kills you but does no damage to the other guy
It seems that whenever fully working weapons/hats are added Valve find someway to screw them over.

See: Conniver's Kunai
I really think the more dedicated wiki boys should make a bigass compilation of all of the visual bugs in this game and put it in to one page, and then send it to Valve as an eye-opener. Maybe then we'll get some animation fixes.
I like content, Valve, but right now the game feels more like a beta than Minecraft. Fix yo shit.
We got a Hatless update.
I'd love to see a bigass Fix update.

The hatless update was a fix update.
It just wasn't a very good one.
While I do think Valve should fix some things, I'm pretty sure they'll never fix everything.
Especially with the addition of the misc2 slot, there will be so many clipping issues to address.

As if there isn't a lot of clipping issues now. Valve seems more focused on adding content rather than fixing content they already have.

There's more than just visual bugs, there's audio flaws as well.
It's just easier to call them aesthetic bugs since aesthetic facilitates both visual and audible things.

I'm hoping that the reason that it's actually taking time for the misc2 slot to come out is that they're working to avoid clipping. One can equip multiple items by simply monkeying around with itemtest, so it's not a matter of it being difficult. I think that for once they might just be doing some quality control.

I actually sorta want to get this started now. It would be a lot of work compiling and organizing the bugs and glitches though. And I don't want to do that work because I am lazy. :v:

Yeah, but there are many hat + misc combinations that clip no matter what.
Take the Planeswalker Helmet and the Blighted Beak, for instance. There is no real way to fix that.
To be honest, I'd rather see them fix actual bugs and do optimization before they fix aesthetic bugs. If they can do both of those at once, then that's golden.
The Dangeresque Too glasses clip with the Hallmark, whilst the new Summer Shades doesn't.
I thought the shades were the same size?
