or you know, MANN CREDITS TO USE AT THE MANN STORE
Excerpted from the Steam Subscriber Agreement: Tough titties.
I didn't mean that as in "Oh damn them for not giving me my money back!" but more as if I had to choose between getting a virtual hat and money, I'd take the money.
Our money back
"I'm mad because I payed 10 bucks to see a movie two years ago and now they're showing it for free on TV!"
Valve will lose a fuckload of money if they refunded Team Fortress to everyone
the game is free, isn't that enough?
what does that have to do with the sales and event god now that the game is free everyone is going to use that as an excuse for valve making everything in it cost money
"I'm mad because I payed 10 bucks to see a movie two years ago and now they're showing it for free on TV!"
Actually, it'd be pretty awesome if they gave me a hat when they started showing it on TV for free.
Four years of entertainment for a game most of us got for free with Episode Two anyway. If at this point you want your money back, you deserve a brick to the face.
Just think of the money you paid for the game as a 4-year Beta trial membership.
Valve will lose a fuckload of money if they refunded Team Fortress to everyone
What if they gave everyone who bought the game like a special key (like the stocking stuffer) or something?
What if they gave everyone who bought the game like a special key (like the stocking stuffer) or something?
They won't lose no money at all. They should of given us a hat and a key because I have so many freaking crates.
Ever premium account gets to pick a crate with only hats from the one class they like, with the crate giving those hats in the unusual effect of their choice, with a complimentary key. Everybody wins, economy dies, the end.
Breaking-ish news, the update didn't just update localization files, it broke the Half-Zatoichi's downside! You can now draw and sheathe it at will, no matter how long it's out or how many swings you take with it, it will always let you pull it back and draw a projectile weapon.
Our money back
I bought this fancy new graphical card for my PC two years ago, now it's worth jack shit because they lowered the price and no one wants to buy it from me. I want my money back! [editline]5th July 2011[/editline]
You know what would be a great fix? If I could run TF2 without a FPS Config. If I can run Oblivion and what not at high settings, why not TF2?
It's strange, TF2 is one of the games that runs the best on my computer (Not at full speed, but still playable), and a lot of other games run like shit (For example, I can't play Monday Night combat because I get 6 fps at most, even with my graphics set at minimum. Also, when playing the game the mouse on the menu moves slooooooowly like there was a 16 ton sauropod sitting over it)
you know, Valve has no real excuse for leaving the shields off the first person views of the other one handed melee weapons now. I can't imagine it'd be difficult to use the Saxxy chargin' targe shield positioning for other weapons. They'd just have to put it in the same spot and it'd work fine... And as far as odd positioning and random fingers being in the wrong place for the Saxxy animations, that doesn't really bother me that much. The shovel is the same way, and the bat has had wrong positioning and clipping since release (and subsequently, Scout lacks a melee weapon that doesn't clip into his hands).
Valve will stop updating TF2 once they release an update that doesn't break something.
like a year ago robin said the community is going to be supporting the game entirely WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT THE COMMUNITYS BEEN DOING IT NEARLY
Seems like a lot of things in this game could be fixed in about ten minutes of work. Off the top of my head: Persian Persuader and Solemn Vow finger tweaking Conniver's Kunai clipping Loch n' Load adjusting Seriously, the Loch doesn't really need new animations. Just move the left hand over an inch or two and suddenly I'm not dropping my grenades all over the place.
Pal, these are just the tip of the iceberg. - Ambassador bullet hole... seriously, it's a 2 minute fix. - It's been months we reload invisible rockets into our (now three) rocket launchers. - Each non-bat Scout's melee clips horribly with his hand in FPV. The Fan O'War is particularly unbearable to watch. - The Warrior's Spirit are a complete mess without their own developed animation, to the point I hope Ruskeydoo is going to remodel them to fit the fists better. - The Heavy melee draw animations have reached absolute hilarity with the Heavy striking his own hand with the Eviction Notice. Seriously, at least add a generic animation where the Heavy draws slowly his fists and does nothing then use for Warrior's Spirit, Eviction Notice and Fists of Steel (the "paf" glove draw sound with them irks me terribly). - ...What the hell did they do to the Loch-n-Load sight?! - Missing/unfitting taunts: while I understand that making taunts for each class isn't a really easy task, and taunts are probably the next store cosmetics, things like the Battalion's Backup not even using the Buff Banner's are inexcusable. Also, remove once and for all unfitting ones: the Demo drinking from a frying pan and the Medic playing his Saxxy without even rest it on his shoulder to say two. Honestly, I'd understand this kind of problems from small dev teams such as Dino D-Day and Zeno Clash's. Not from the very studio of Portal 2. The only thing I really miss from the old times is the high level of detail and polishness that made me bear happily the "Valve time". Animations are now the new killicons/response lines. Unless the community does something I doubt we'll se any improvement.
i-ghost fixed the taunt thing in his sound mod update he sent to Valve recently.
I've just sent a follow-up to Valve. The changes include: * Fixed name-tagged weapons firing the 'new weapon' responses * Fixed a rare case where Medi Guns would say the Kritzkrieg ubercharge responses * Moved Demoman's not-so-friendly assist line to the Jeers voice command. So now you have a choice of congratulating or demeaning your team-mates. * Reduced frequency of 'new weapon' lines for Heavy * Reduced Scout double jump responses to 5% * Added responses for destroying Sappers as a Pyro. * Re-added the quieter Gunslinger lines * Re-enabled the Engineer's teleporter thanks. * Added a few unused lines I missed the first time round * Re-submitted the Caber taunt * Assigned the Grenade Launcher taunt to the Pain Train; it works perfectly. * Assigned the Buff Banner taunt to the Battalion's Backup * Assigned Syringe Gun taunt to Crusader's Crossbow * Three-Rune Blade kills no longer make reference to Bat. Saxxy-specific changes: * Scout - Uses holy Mackerel response group for kill responses * Soldier - Uses Buff Banner taunt for taunt * Demoman - Uses Grenade Launcher taunt and uses generic gibberish melee kill responses. * Heavy - no longer says boxing lines when using Saxxy * Engineer - Uses Golden Wrench kill responses * Medic - Uses Medi Gun taunt * Sniper - Uses modified Kukri taunt (will not make reference to knife), uses unique kill response group (evil laughs, "You best keep lyin' down) instead of making reference to his knife.
Also, even Scout's default bat clips with his hands.

(Or is it also a backpack?) Unless you really want to.
He juggles a rocket and his nades. He gets his rockets from a separate pouch. :colbert:
No need to colbert on me, it always looked to me that he pulled it out of his Banners. Jegus.
What if they gave everyone who bought the game like a special key (like the stocking stuffer) or something?
Goddammit I don't want more Jags
Eyelander: Headsheadsheadsheadsheads.... headsheads.... Golf club: ballsballsballsballsballs....ballsballsballs....
Consider it done. [editline]5th July 2011[/editline] I just realised I can't say golf without it sounding like goth when played back. god damn it.
Also, even Scout's default bat clips with his hands.
Oh God you're right. The default bat is somewhat acceptable, but the Sandman clips badly and the Atomizer literally phases through his hand. Now I cannot unsee! :O
No need to colbert on me, it always looked to me that he pulled it out of his Banners. Jegus.
To be honest, to me he always looked to do the same gesture of when he reloads the RL, pulling rockets out of his -erm- belt. Besides, how impractical would be a backpack/wooden portable cabinet thing with an opening on its bottom?
