A similar thing happened with a HL mod called Paranoia, it used a few custom dlls to edit the way it renders and from what I remember from people bitching about it, you got VAC banned if you played it.

You do know VAC bans can sometimes take longer than a few months, I'd still wait until a dev replies or someone emails them over this.
This now doesn't help me at all.
I think the problem is, it's only for most PC's with low RAM.
Some PCs have good RAM but shitty graphics card.
VAC bans for certain things that hook onto hl2.exe- Swiftshader does NOT do that.
I'll try to get some screenies if all goes well. This may make me able to play at a decent FPS. If it does, I will love you forever.
EDIT: Just for comparison, I normally get 10-15 FPS. I'll post my FPS using this shortly after.

Also, FYI, I was wrong- put swiftshader .dll in your Team Fortress 2 directory.

You missed out that VAC also looks for mischievous dlls within the game folder, I know some wont trigger it but you can never be sure.

Technically speaking it can be used on ANYTHING that renders stuff in 3D. I used it to made Oblivion mods when I was on a DX8 computer.
