This is not spectacular.
From what I've seen competitive tf2 is never exciting. Seeing as its always soldier, scout, sniper, medic, demoman default weapons only, badlands only.
Oh how frustrating. I own Quake 4 retail because I bought it at launch.
Have you tried registering the key on Steam?
From what I've seen competitive tf2 is never exciting. Seeing as its always soldier, scout, sniper, medic, demoman default weapons only, badlands only.
"Hi, my name is RainbowStalin and I know nothing about competitive tf2."
so, how did the match end?
so, how did the match end?
Too many people had to leave after Granary due to family obligations or internet troubles so the overall match was called a draw. Viaduct was essentially a 4v4 game for entertainment purposes. Star won.
I liked it, actually. :v:
Is there a way to see it if you missed it live?

There are reasons why the default comp classes are scout, soldier, demoman and medic. Other classes are used in more specific situations. Some unlocks are allowed, but most perfer vanilla because a large portion of the unlocks are retarded.
Read: Fun.
Demoknight may be ~fun~ but it sure as hell isn't that effective against competent opponents. Apply similar rules to other ~fun~ weapons; I'm sure that getting your ass whooped isn't exactly ~fun~.

Having fun. Also, give somebody enough time getting used to their ~fun~ shit, and they probably would be competent against better players, the same goes for every weapon. Hell, people would find a way to wreck shit with a weapon which did 1 damage. Edit: Note, in case it turns out anyone reading this is retarded: I'm not going against unlocks or anything, just what the dude I am quoting said.
PAINTRAIN is best weapon
PAINTRAIN is best weapon
Actually I have seen few comp Demomen using Paintrain for faster capping. Well, that's if he/his teammates can protect him good enough from bullet damage (scouts).
Read: Fun.
yes the wrangler, for example, is incredibly fun I'm sure, but not balanced for competitive games. That is the point of banning certain weapons. Other weapons are banned for a certain amount of time until enough time has passed to be acquired by most people. If you look at certain class's weapons here: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Category:Competitive or here http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Competitive_item_restrictions ...you can see which are banned or restricted and which are allowed. The way I understand it as a non-comp player is, competitive play is like a game of chess. You understand what each piece is capable of and where each piece can or will go on the board. Now imagine if suddenly the king had a stat of "avoid capture once" or the rook can "jump over enemy pieces" or the queen can "capture pieces across the board regardless of what's in front of it" because of something they have that you are unaware of. Anything that is too game changing will most likely be restricted at least in ETF2L. UGC 6v6 is a little less restricting.

If he can see you to shoot you, you can shoot him in the face.) and them spam the de-activated sentry until it blows up. Not hard at all.

A shame the engineer isn't the only guy on the team :v:

Not hard at all.
Except for the fact that the deactivated sentry has x3 damage resistance. It's not going down unless your entire team is focus firing it (and ignoring the other team as a result) or until you wait for it to reactivate itself, in which case you still have a sentry to worry about.

Therefore FUN unlocks are DUMB, while EFFECTIVE unlocks are SMART!
How do you join there?
How do you join there?
It's already over.
It's already over.
I thought it comes on in 30 minutes :'(
I thought it comes on in 30 minutes :'(
20:00 CEST is Central European Summer Time. The actual event was about 7 hours ago.
So did Robin cheat?
So did Robin cheat?
Yes, but only very very tiny ones like blowing up AFK players with a grenade taunt (without killing himself) during pre-game.
The point of comp is to win. Winning is fun. Fun things are dumb. Winning is dumb. Therefore competitive is dumb.
Has anyone ever told you how competitive you are?
The point of comp is to win. Winning is fun. Fun things are dumb. Winning is dumb.
