Nope, I keep it minimized except for occasional checks if I have disconnected from the server

2 - type: net stop beep
3 - Idle
You can do it even if TF2's running. You're just stopping the windows "beep" service :p

I join mario kart servers where they don't kick for idling instead of joining idle servers. I don't ever want to be on an idle server in case the same thing happens as before.

Same thing as before? Valve never punished anyone for playing on any server with TF2. Valve allowed people to join cracked [no-steam] servers for years with legitimate steam accounts and not punish them.
Then again, people are really really ignorant about what Valve punished Steamstats users for and HOW steamstats users were identified.

Lol the first time i used this(2 days ago) i got 20 items(in just 10 HOURS!) AND a hat(panama). Those items got me enough metal to craft ANOTHER hat(tough guy toque). Then i combined 2 hats(panama and trophy belt) and got the Otolaryngologist mirror! :D lucky me
On a less important note, i now have 3 camera beards.
