I can go to school, work, out to the movies, and sleep. Now, I can do all of those things and not worry about being disconnected.

I got a hat in one night and a day of idling. Now I think I will stop because this "new way to idle" scares me.
I don't think it's normal to be able to run another source game while idling.

No, not even with the update you told me to use.
Also, is it worth noting that the Steam Item Manager works in read only mode as long as the ST folder is on the desktop, even with Steam beta?
Actually, the whole thing only works if the Source Tools folder is on the desktop; it stops working if I move it.
But yeah, even with it on the desktop it doesn't work with +exec autoexec2.cfg in the launch options, and my normal auto exec doesn't work with it. I haven't tried to figure it out, though. I'm alright with just renaming it.

You can change SIM to be able to write in configure.bat
It will be in the item tracker add-on section, you'll see [b]Steam Item Manager in Read-Only[/b].
Select that option to turn it to "0" which will enable SIM to run in write mode.

SIM cannot be moved until you close Steam.

[B]Both[/B] stop working when I move the Source Tools folder is what I meant. I'll try closing Steam first next time I try, though.

I think I might know the reason, though, which could be a funky blankspace folder name that I move it to for personal organization reasons, alt+255, but I never tested it by movig it to a different folder.

Alright, I closed Steam, moved the folder to where I wanted it to be, then started Steam again. It now works exactly as it is supposed to. Thanks for the suggestion!

You need to start TF2 normally or use SIM manager to move the items in the backpack. I don't think you get items untill you click the "keep" button on the drop screen, something that you can't do in text mode. So launch TF2 normally and kill yourself a few times to get them.
