Well after I finish my textmode idle session I go back to play and it slides down every frame, I just restart TF2 and it works again though.
Been idling all day..only got FAN so far..

1. Type these two commands in CMD.exe
reg export HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Source\tf\Settings video.reg
move video.reg c:\
2. Find "video.reg" in c:\
3. Put that file anywhere that is convenient.
4. Before you want to [B]play[/B] TF2, double click video.reg.
It will restore your video configuration.
Note, if you change video settings, you'll have to redo those steps to make a new video.reg file with your new video settings.[/QUOTE]Could be different problem, though.

With the version I've got (pre -textmode), there's a config batch file that allows you to disable the auto-start function.
Im still idling, i've been idling for 3-4 days now. So far i have 2 homewreckers, a modest pile of hat and loads of other weapons.

It removes itself from startup when Source Tools is closed NORMALLY [type exit in source tools console, wait for TF2 to close, and wait for Source Tools to close]
To prevent that from ever happening again
1- Open configure.bat [Select TF2. If it asks for mode, if you use textmode/ez-spectate, select mode1]
2- Select #5 add-on manager
3- Select #1 Connection manage
4- Select #11 Restart Source Tools on computer crash [to set the value to 0]

You can use an item backpack manager/viewer like Didrole's Item Manager [doesnt work with Steam beta if you launch it after TF2] and jengerer's item manager [only refreshes if you click the refresh button]
Or tf2items.com profile [only refreshes once per hour]
If you're not compulsive, tf2items.com should suffice to check every ~6 hours.

You're not supposed to expect a hat with 72 hours of idling. It's nice to get a hat, but it is unlikely.
The average is something like 130 hours per hat, so a 5-6 days of idling.

I don't get it, because I use that in my launch options, and if I play the game normally afterwards, my video/graphics are fine.
