I read the OP and pages 1-3 and did not find out how to join a class/team.

-textmode allows you to play other Valve games while TF2 is launched

But when I join a server in Textmode, It says I join and later I do not get messages for "X player has suicided" so I cannot idle properly because I am still a spectator.

While in spectator mode you will collect drops as if you were on a team which is ideal as spectator does not update statistics.

How do i see what team i joined? And what person i am?

After idling my FPS is a slideshow and it has a big line coming from the top to bottom every frame, Does the guide of page 2 have to do with that or can it be fixed manually?

I'm confident that this is in no way related to the new idling method. Although Valve decides what isn't/is a cheat I doubt they'd pull such a huge dick move after what happened last time.
