I agree partially.
The TF2 fanbase tend to overfeminize the characters quite a lot, and too many people portray the characters too much based on speculations and assumptions.
The classes in TF2 are however, not emotionally dead monsters.
They are fully able to express appreciation, and admiration, and kindness; evidenced by for example voice commands such as "Thanks", "Cheers", "Good Job", and "Good Shot", but also by their playstyles as well... such as Engineer's dispensers, Pyro's exstinguishing, Medic's healing, and Heavy dropping his Sandwich to help teammates.
This is after all [i]Team[/i] Fortress 2, companionship is a governing attribute for a good team.
