Well Im not marked as scammer but my friend is in the list and he just star playing since the uber update. This shit is so wrong.
I got a guy banned a week ago for scamming me of real money XD. They were really nice to me.
Judging by how flawlessly you post it must've obviously been his fault that you got scammed, and not you for not finding a proper middleman. If people allow themselves to be scammed, they should be the ones found at fault. How hard is it to get a neutral party these days? Oh cool you edited it and made me look dumb, great going.
I love how they forgot to check the other versions of the rip off thread. They ALSO forgot to include me, I posted a rip off on one of the first few pages of v9. Haha, they're so dumb.
Reminds me of that debacle of that one guy who made fake achivement servers for the sake of making a ban list of people. This is really going too far, the hell is luigi thinking linking tftp to this anyway?
Obviously so they can "forget" to add you to the scammers list if you donate.
Yay for ignorant comments! All they do is put donator next to your name when you are searched.
Why would they want you Steam ID with a donation? To keep track of the donators?
It's needed to grant you a SR donator tag on your page.
I just realized something. Sourceop is going downhill ever since DrunkenF00l left.

Hello, I'm an admin at TF2TP. Someone linked me to this thread. Ok, so in retrospect, this might have been a mistake to do this all at once; My personal opinion is that SteamRep is a useful site to check out a user's status before going through with a trade. Tons of people have reported being scammed on TF2TP and a lot of the time the offending user had already been marked as a scammer on SteamRep. So myself and the other mods would ban those users and any alts they may have. This has gotten tedious, so we were thinking an autoban was in order. So we did that an hour or two ago. But obviously shown from this thread, there are some legit traders that are marked as scammers on SteamRep. What I'm thinking about doing is to undo all those autobans and put a warning notice next to people that are listed as a scammer on SteamRep. People can still create trades on TF2TP, but they'll have a warning next to their name. They can change that by appealing it on whichever site gave them their scammer flag. Meanwhile, we'll keep going through manually banning only those that TF2TP data proves have scammed others. What's the general opinion about this change?
How long ago was that?
A few days ago, or a week or so I believe. Not long but it really has been going downhill.
I didn't even rip anyone off, just posted a picture of me and a friend screwing around in trade. Would have thought they didn't just throw out bans but actually CHECKED, but no, of course thats too complicated.

• Dont lie about ripoffs or post a friend giving you free stuff
Source: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1106693-Ripoff-Trading-Megathread-v9-NOH-MERCY

Jesus, this is going way to fucking far. If I get banned for nothing, I don't know what I would do with all of my items.

Whoever isn't a scammer, just unban them. No need to have a 'warning' label, that'll make trading even harder. And trust me, people don't need the extra burden of trying to find a fair trade AND of trying to explain they're not a scammer.
Trolling.
How's that trolling? It's the first post of the thread - how can you miss that? But that aside, getting an extremely good deal =/= a scam. SourceOP even has a similar thread called "Pro Trading" or something.

I can understand people that scam maliciously and steal someone's items, but people like me that get hats for weapons are punished just because a casual player wanted more stuff to play the game with and didn't know any better. It's funny, because the value of hats to a new player is only known once someone older player tells them, which kind of goes to show hats are basically useless.

Base things off your own data, Not some crappy rep site run by over zealous members of SOP.
so i have a scammer as a friend huh wonder who it is

Seriously, a warning label is just as bad as the scammer label on sourcerep.
I want a scammer label :pervert:
why did scorpion say "banned."?
I personally wouldn't really mind some type of thing like this. I would prefer a whitelist to have to trade where you have to have a minimum of reps to trade but that would take too much effort so I suppose a blacklist is a better idea. It was a good idea in theory but since SteamREP was flawed, building a system based off it was also flawed.
I just don't want it to say 16 scammers as friends. As if 4 wasn't bad enough.
why did scorpion say "banned."?
Yeah, I guess he got banned from tf2tp as well.
