For some reason, that incident that happened here about 2 weeks ago about two guys who were selling profile pictures made in Model Viewer for 4 refined or so comes to my mind. The feedback they got here from FP members was mostly negative, maybe they decided to get a little revenge?

This is an excellent way to get a two week timeout increased to a forever one.
edit: about 50 people were banned for two weeks for being involved somehow with the "scam" thread. It's not the end of the world. At the very least, I'll see about having "scam" replaced with "rip-off" in the ban reasons, Obstipator's made it clear he won't be overturning them though.

I had basically no involvement with this whole thing. Hell, I stopped playing TF2 in like, March. Ob's already made his decision, and he owns the site. Best I can do is try to have the reason changed so it doesn't say scam, since scamming and ripping off are two different things.
Yes, and the difference between them is that ripping off shouldn't be a ban reason. Its the other traders stupidity or carelessness which brings him to that situation, because nothing was stolen and he agreed to the trade, after all.
It's pretty clear that the TF2TP admins are full of stupidity and probably shouldn't be running a site.

Part of the guilt from scam trading is knowing that later on they will find out how much that item was worth. Then they will feel like shit for getting ripped off.
