There shouldn't even be a need for shitstain websites like SteamRep (and no, this isn't me bitching about a caution, I'm "clean"). The TF2 "economy" isn't even a viable economy, it makes no sense with random "pricing" of items based on what a few people who had those items originally thought they deserved for them.
Lowballing doesn't exist, neither does highballing, trolling exists, ripping off exists, but not the other two. Items have no defined price, players should be offering what [B]they[/B] want for an item, not what some mega-sperg who sits in their basement all day, never actually playing the game thinks the item is worth. It's thanks to this shit system the "community" apparently agreed on that trading is fucking impossible.
People like me who don't have any hats or anything to trade, but could probably be good for weapons can't trade as everyone seems to think a slightly newer weapon is worth 5 of a older one. Weapons are worth weapons, not 5 times the number of weapons, not a weapon and a hat, just a weapon for a weapon. Unless it does have some rarity value to it like vintage (even then, a weapon and a scrap or two weapons seems right for that). The entire fucking trading community have their heads so far up their asses that I can't trade for anything I actually want/ need. And thanks to the broken drop system I never get anything I want or need as I rarely get a drop anyway.
SteamRep just makes this harder, as if someone takes offence to an offer I make, I am suddenly a "scammer" and will not be able to trade with people who check that kind of thing or use awful websites like TF2TP which base their judgement on you through SteamRep, making them bad moderators and bad people.
Fuck that was a rant and a half, but shit like this is why TF2 is near enough dead to me. People take items far too fucking seriously.
