Oh I don't really care about the ban, I stopped using the site a long time ago (even before the ban when I focused on selling my shit rather than trading). I just saw this thread and noticed that you are/were a mod/admin on the site and you were answering some questions, that's all.

Unless it does have some rarity value to it like vintage (even then, a weapon and a scrap or two weapons seems right for that). The entire fucking trading community have their heads so far up their asses that I can't trade for anything I actually want/ need. And thanks to the broken drop system I never get anything I want or need as I rarely get a drop anyway.
SteamRep just makes this harder, as if someone takes offence to an offer I make, I am suddenly a "scammer" and will not be able to trade with people who check that kind of thing or use awful websites like TF2TP which base their judgement on you through SteamRep, making them bad moderators and bad people.
Fuck that was a rant and a half, but shit like this is why TF2 is near enough dead to me. People take items far too fucking seriously.

I find it ironic though that we get banned from TF2TP for lowballing, yet most of the people there do it aswell. I mean, they're like overpricing when they offer their stuff and underprice when they want other people's stuff which they will most likely sell again, while overpricing.

Sorry, got home at like page 5 or 6, changed "scam" to "rip-off" in the probation reason, then read through the rest. Obviously in retrospect this was a bad idea. This is the second time bulk probations have not worked out so well. Everyone with the default congratulations message should have been unbanned by now. I'm still going through the other ones.

How to make a perfect TF2 trading site:
- Don't have any dumb features like bidding or whatever TF2TP does. It's a simple thing: Show what the person is offering and what they want. Then put a link to their steam ID. No SteamRep bullshit, no other stupid crap.
- Limit people to 3 trade proposals per hour. TF2TP suffers from people spamming the same stupid shit over and over trying to whore the "recent trades" list.
- Moderators should exist only for one reason: Remove gimmick/troll trades. Shit like people offering a sandvich for 10 vintage hats. Don't moderate trades based on what your moderators think items are worth. If a guy wants to trade his shitty gibus for a vintage brain slug then by all means let him try. It's none of your beeswax whether his trade is "fair" or not, let his trading partners decide that.
- If a trade is missing an item (ie. If an item gets traded away and is no longer in the trader's backpack) then have it automatically get de-listed. This way people don't have to manually de-list their trades like in TF2TP.
