Is there any downside to the Enforcer when using the Dead Ringer?

it makes the person who does that an awful person if that counts
In my opinion, all of the spy watches are equal, they all have different playing tactics. IW is good if you are always on the move and need to cloak and move at any givin moment. The C & D is good if you like waiting for your target, hanging invisible, waiting for an engy to design to move his gear up to stab him and sap his shit. Dead Ringer gives you a little bit of security as most people think the spy is dead and move on, when you can now get revenge on the people who made you cloaked. You have a second chance with the DR. I don't believe the enforcer needs to be nerfed. While it is a true upgrade with DR, it promotes varried spy game play. I would almost never use my revolver before it as it would take to long or require percise aim. Now I will go into battle instead of retreating sometimes.

The cloak and dagger is shit. Invis watch is much better.
...and make the DR more or less totally inviable against people with at least 50% aural capacity.
We managed with the loud de-cloaking sound at launch, even after numerous (mostly needed) nerfs, we could manage it again. Especially given that it's optional.
Personally I only touch the C&D when I really need to get a tele down and can't handle it from the Engie's side of things.
Just chill by their spawn, wait for an opening between spawns, and have at it.

But then you spend too much time being a useless prick.
Not really. Maybe I'll wait a sec after the job is done, hoping to catch the Engie on his way to rebuild the entrance, but stopping the tele is very much worth the time it takes to creep up with the C&D, imo.
Unless that was sarcasm in which case I totally missed it.
I can't aim for shit with the Enforcer anyway. Which is weird. I'm perfectly fine with pulling off headshots with the Ambassador.
That only flips the coin. Suddenly you'd have people using the Big Earner with the Dead Ringer instead. The negative attribute needs reworking or something that the Dead Ringer cannot negate, otherwise it'll remain a neglected downside.
That's definitely true, but it's a knife and they'd still have to be behind you to backstab you. The annoyance is that the Enforcer / DR combo at the moment allows for easy kills. The knife'd be better than the default knife with that down side, but it'd be infinitely less annoying.

I aim better with the Enforcer for some reason, that and the Big Kill. if I switch to normal Revolver, I do worse for some reason.

You guys have some gun model aiming problem or something.
Can't aim with an enforcer but can pull off headshots with Ambassador?.. no sense.

Being able to wait out of the way for the engineer to make a move is extremely useful. Sometimes I need to wait for the major of the team to pass mer before I decloak. Use whatever watch works best for you. I don't use the C and D much either.
Here's a solution.
Instead of cloak time it should be decloak time.

I thought you were talking to Valve or something.
Certain weapons/weapon sets give a big situational advantages.
Zatoichi is godly in medieval, and good if you're a good demoknight with the boots and shield, but you lose all forms of ranged combat.
Special Delivery gives you 25 HP, and you lack any good way to inflict some damage on enemies.
Etc.

Shortstop does quite a bit of damage even at medium distance
