Old one. Even though I don't mind the new one at all, you get less stuff.
And I never cared about idlers getting more items.

(IMO everyone should just have all weapons and every day right when you start playing TF2 the game will either give you a rare hat drop or not and that's it for the day, but as that idea pretty much completely fucks up the system many people more or less cling to I don't expect any agreement here)
That'd be good.
Only idlers prefer the old one.
I idled, but I prefer the new.
The new one because I don't get to go on TF2 that much, probably about 2-3 hours a week.
I find it more fair as the old one penalised those that didn't play in long periods.
Ever since the new drop system, I have NEVER found a hat, EVER, that is why I hate the new drop system, well the main reason I hate it anyway.
Errr, no
54 items=1 random hat, 75 items=1 specific hat
So 1 month and 1 week=75 items
Err, it's possible that you want to keep some of your weapons and you can't fit some.
Err, it's possible that you want to keep some of your weapons and you can't fit some.
A lot of people already have all the weapons(that are good)

This could be good idea.
You can only get hat drops, weapon drops don't exist anymore.
Instead, you have hat counter somewhere.
For example, every hour you get 1 counter.
You can give 100 counters for random craft, or 130 for class specific.
Of course there would be solution for idlers, official maps only with 10 players or more, spec doesn't count in time and others.
Only idlers prefer the old one.
True.
With the old system, idlers could get hats faster.
People who didn't idle, couldn't get hats faster.
With the new system, there is no way to get a hat faster.
It makes sense that the people who'll miss the cake when it's gone, is the people who enjoyed the cake when it was there.
[editline]07:07PM[/editline]
For now, I shall mourn.
I shall mourn for the lack of cake, and I shall mourn for the people who missed the chance to taste the cake.
I like the new one, but I still haven't found one hat ever. In all 454 hours, I've never found one measly hat.
Well, I like the new one but only drops I'm getting are Dement's Skullcutters. Those are cursed I tell you, cursed.
I like the new one, because i found 3 hats out of it
Old
New.
The old one, seeing as I never had to worry if I left TF2 open to change music, but forgot about it.
Or worry about my drop cap.
Or idle on one day, get 3 items, and for the rest of the week: no items, because I left TF2 open on a server when my connection to steam went to shit in 2 hours.
[editline]02:49PM[/editline]
and because I play a hell of lot of TF2
This one.
I actually get drops now.
The old one, I play a lot of TF2 and I usually get all my drops on the third day.
Old one, because I can idle one day and getting 60 items while now I must wait a week to get 8-10 items :frown:.
The new one, at least now I can get something.
New.
I don't have to play all day and get an item every month with this one.
With the new system if you don't play for a week does your cap go up or do you get items faster?
Old. I used to actually get items with the old one, this new one, I only get one drop a week.
ONE
Well, you're either lying or you aren't playing enough. The new dropping system guarentees that you get a certain amount of items every week.
New, never got anything in the old
Definitely the new one. I can't explain why exactly, but I appreciate my drops so much more when they're more rare.
New, because I didn't get shit with the old one.
New one.
Beforehand it gave you items whenever it felt like it. Went ages without getting anything. But now, I can expect a drop, at regular intervals, and be satisfied.
New, considering i dont have to idle like i used to.
New, because I know that if I keep playing long enough, I'm guaranteed an item soon, whereas the old one I could go hours without getting anything. Plus I'm used to the new one now anyway
New one I suppose, I never got anything with the old system.

What are you talking about? I could play days and not get a single item.
