It took me 600 to find one :v: I prefer the newer system, makes idling rather pointless.
It took me 0.5 hours to get my first hat with the old system, imo the old one was better, the new one punishes me for playing too much
I got more items in 1 week with the new system than in 1 year with the old. Literally. On a related note I've had to craft my first non-event hat.
I prefer the new system... I just wish I wasn't punished for playing the game a lot. But I like tf2, and I'm not going to boycott it just because I didn't get my head delivered.
I find it funny when idlers complain they can't idle on the new system. That was the EXACT design intention.
Idlers ruined my game and murdered my entire family.
I never get any items any more
I just stopped by and I noticed, people who just bought TF2 a bit ago, not that far in time, are choosing that New Drop System is better, that's actually opinion of people who haven't anything to do with Old Dropping System

I prefer the new system, but I still think it sucks that the drop cap limit ends so quickly. Maybe if we had the same limit, but they spread the drops out more during the week so that we don't get the all at once, and I wouldn't have much more to complain about.

Does bring up a good point as far as spreading the limit out over the week, though.
My friend bought the game after the 119 update, and he would have referred the old system :v:
old
Old one. Drops are more rewarding that way.
Old one this one makes me play way too much and get only 1 drop.
The new one. While the old system was active, I could sometimes get 10 items in 5 hours or no items in 5 days.
old, the new one gives me items slower than ever :frown:
New. Idle on every Thursday. What a joy!
None, the drop system is just stupid and annoying. There is no sense in waiting several weeks to get an item that you want, why not permanently keep the item after you've unlocked it?
To save up and craft metals?
To save up and craft metals?
Which is pretty stupid too.
Sometimes, it's good to work towards something. In my case, crafting a hat.
i actually get shit with the new one
Sometimes, it's good to work towards something. In my case, crafting a hat.
You don't really work for your drops, all you have to do is run the game.
Those who don't idle that is. Not that I'm not one of 'em!
