Yep, it even feels like a smoother jump honestly. Also Tote, it's a Blunderbuss, pretty much just a big ass shotgun.
Oh, ok thanks.
OK so I was wrong earlier. - 5 "rockets" in a clip - Unlimited backup ammo - Chargable shots - "no random crits" balancing - You CAN rocket-jump - It DOES have splash damage I think this is one of the few weapons with a 100% negative reaction.
These are surprisingly not AS overpowered as you would think, but they are still overpowered. And to all of you "0mg it ruins da artstyle" people, I think its pretty fitting since it reminds me of the 50s or 60s Roswell New Mexico fiasco. And soldier sitting with his (Cardboard) buddies in the desert finding a crashed rocket that is 50s space themed is pretty fitting.
what people dont understand is that they focus too much on the "lol alines WTF this aint tf2" instead of the "this actually fits the universe, as it is not ultra high tech, but more 50s, like TF2"
No. TF2 had an industrial, realistic-yet-cartoony, spytechy feel. Unrealistic things were there (sentry guns, teleporters, the occasional doomsday device), but they fit the style. I know fallout makes people like to equate the 60s with cheesy scifi devices but fallout is a primarily scifi universe, unlike TF2.
Brand new animations? I think this is the start of something beautiful.
I just crafted a mangler, but I felt bad for my friend because he cant craft one because he doesn't have the materials. Suddenly... I found one in a drop, and gave it to my friend. Now we're lazer blasting buddies. :v:
Say what you will about the stats, I do believe that this is one set of "promo" items that Valve did right. These things are really well-done and nicely polished. New comic, a new taunt, new animations, new sounds, new kill icons, even new (to TF2) death animations. I think they did a really swell job packaging these things up and presenting them. I haven't played with the RL, but I have messed about with the lazer pistol and I have to say-- it doesn't feel horribly overpowered and it's pretty fun to use.

If this was released before the whole "omg artstyle is ded valve hates TF2" bandwagon that formed, everyone would love it for its style. And read my post above, it IS fitting.
Fucking please, give this to the Engi.
That thing probably has more polygons than all the playermodels together.
Watch as people start prefixing their new weapons with Pew Pew.
Watch as people start prefixing their new weapons with Pew Pew.
Or some sort of Warhammer shit.
Now all I need is some metal or luck. LOL who am I kidding. :suicide:
You know, I wouldn't mind the whole "disable buildings" thing if the engie could, say, remove it with a wrench hit.
Hopefully these new weapons aren't as OP in game as they are on paper. Maybe "Does not require ammo" means they work from a battery or something, and charge slowly when you're not firing them. I'd also imagine that a laser-launcher means no rocket jumps, but that's just speculation.
Theres an energy meter that works the same way as ammo except its limitless. Once you fire five projectiles, the bar runs out and you have the crank something on the launcher to "reload"

For the unlimited ammo, it has a meter that supplies 5 shots, then you need to recharge it by reloading.
new launcher, also first time making videos, didnt go well.
I don't think i will be paying fucking real dosh for a fucking code that says we get these.
Fucking please, give this to the Engi.
I'd laugh if they added it for the Soldier.

It doesn't fit at all, TF2 is not a heavy scifi universe and a mid-20th century American setting does not automatically equal cheesy B-movie elements.
You know, I wouldn't mind the whole "disable buildings" thing if the engie could, say, remove it with a wrench hit.
It takes about 3 seconds to charge up a shot that would disable a building, plus you move as fast as a revved-up Heavy while charging. If you know what you are doing the Soldier is a sitting duck like that.

Wow can you actually buy that model? I would kill for that in my room..

There are ways to play this game that involves teamwork.
