Well good thing the HIGHLY steampunk and NOT sci-fi 60s Ray-Blunderbuss got in, didn't it?
The rocket launcher and pistol have the exact same aesthetic styling as the blunderbuss.
I actually dont mind the fact that soldier is getting so many items. He is my favourite class afterall.
But i do think it would be fair if engy got them too.

Maybe the pistol more so than the launcher but they are distinctly 60s sci-fi and not Steampunk like that Ray Blunderbuss.
I noticed there a number of guys making videos of the same thing.
Perhaps you could help the wiki out with videos?

Wouldn't it be neat if Thursday gave us an Engie pistol and an Engie buildable impervious to Soldier's raygun lazers? And wouldn't it be the coolest if, on Friday, we got some sweet lazer pewwage for Pyro, too? Yes. Yes, it would.
Order someone to help you out, give team mates directions and better your whole game plan.
There are ways to play this game that involves teamwork.
In the time that it takes for a teammate to react, he's already shot the rocket at your sentry. The only thing that can save you is a pyro who just happens to be next to you or a teammate who is willing to throw themself in front of a mini-crit rocket and hope to survive the subsequent afterburn.
Otherwise, your sentry is as good as scrap metal since a team that knows where your gun is will be prepared to swarm you once it's disabled. It's a more sure-fire way to down a gun than having a Bonk! Scout or a Spy spamming sappers because it doesn't place the Soldier at much risk.

That's what I am thinking is going to happen.
You can see the 2fort rocket behind soldier, maybe tomorrow there will be engie with another map's rocket and a comic and then pyro.
There are three rockets, what classes are in dire need for weapons? Engineer and Pyro. Plus, the soldier comic was quite short, if they made three short comics for each day, for each class, it would make sense.
thus Valve even more enforces the idea that Pyros are an Engi's best friend.

Any engineer knows not to put his shit in the open anyway, so an easy solution to this would be to make the rocket HAVE to hit the sentry to disable it. No round' the corner splash area shit.
Cripes, I just thought of something. All the obnoxious particle effects from the million lasers are enough to give me some annoying FPS dips with a decently good system, the guys who were already bad because of the hat effects, are they just 100% screwed now?

Doubt there will be more.
Wow people are flipping there shit over these new weapons. I just wait till I get new weapons in a drop.

Requiring that it be a direct hit to disable I am surprisingly okay with. That doesn't mean that I like the idea of disabling sentries in the first place, though.
Well after playing with them for a bit, the Bison is balanced by a slow projectile speed, but the rocket launcher is ridiculous.
Wow people are flipping there shit over these new weapons. I just wait till I get new weapons in a drop.
You're able to craft them.
Requiring that it be a direct hit to disable I am surprisingly okay with. That doesn't mean that I like the idea of disabling sentries in the first place, though.
I guess it encourages more teamwork, since if you are a lone soldier and you manage to disable the sentry you really can't do much more to it since your weapons do near nothing damage wise to it.
You also can't control when the charged shot goes off, so if you overcompensate or undercompensate you can miss your target, and you used all your ammo and you have to suffer a slow reload time.
The particles for the new launcher are WAY too intensive. I keep losing sight of my enemies with all this electrical shit flying around.
thus Valve even more enforces the idea that Pyros are an Engi's best friend.
They are.
I was turtling as engie on 2fort (imagine that) and I swear every minute this one pyro comes through and spychecks the place where I have my sentry, and he stopped an uber'd demoman with his katana out just by constantly airblasting him back (which was hilarious, because the demo couldn't switch his weapon). Later in the game he homewrecker'd a sapper off my sentry.
Pyros are ultrabros.
Am I the only one that gets slight framerate lag whenever I shoot the rocket launcher?

Sadly this is the exception and not the rule.
i wasn't being mad at them enforcing it i was telling people what the hidden motivations behind the gun were

Pretty much. I'm playing TF2 on a laptop, and when I get hit with a charged Mangler shot my FPS goes to about 3 for 5 seconds or so.
[editline]20th July 2011[/editline]
I fucking love the Mangler and Bison though, amazing weapons.

But still, the alternative ways to dispatch a sentry place the supporting class at much greater risk;
Bonk! Scout can be bodyblocked or knocked away with explosives/airblast
Spy has to be right up against the sentry, which is a risk
Soldier can just shoot it from outside the sentry's range at no risk to himself. He's at the same amount of risk as a sniper would be at. Even if he so much as knows where the sentry is, with teamwork, he can just jump out in front with sufficient timing and the sentry gun is as good as scrapped.
The only thing that can save the Sentry is:
Pyro who just happens to be there (not always reliable)
Teammate or self making a sacrifice (not always a good idea)
Pick up sentry and run from the minicrit + afterburn rocket then redeploy it (very risky)
Either way, it's a large annoyance to Engineers.
I joined a server earlier and decided to test the waters for these new weapons. Basically everyone had a lazer launcher thing.
Needless to say I had the most fun I have had in a long time with TF2. And I wasn't using any of the new weapons.

More like Pyros are mostly assholes who use the backburner and never extinguish you.
So uh... Was the "Mystery Shotgun" ever explained?
So uh... Was the "Mystery Shotgun" ever explained?
...good point, actually.
Anyone?
So uh... Was the "Mystery Shotgun" ever explained?
It has/had the Righteous Bison's item id, so I guess..
Ahaha valve hates us all.
"Missing shipments" from the Grordborts website. Looks like all we're getting is a misc item and some (probably) heavy snacks.
