The only thing that matter is the Kritzkrieg. Round end, intel capture and first-blood crits I guarantee you do not mean jack shit to a majority of players.
Since it's more of a frustration to the Medics than it is to the Soldiers, I expect it to be patched away eventually. Lots of games are Medic-centric and even more are Ubercharge-centric, rendering an Ubercharge worthless for your own team is just annoying for the Medic and the rest of the team. Remember how the Axtinguisher and Knife never got crits even when forced? Now they [i]can[/i] crit when forced.

I'm pretty sure the axtinguisher can't crit when forced, it still makes the crit sound ect. but deals standard damage, i may be wrong, but i'll test it now.

Yes it can, trust me.
It is still affected by the damage reduction against non-burning enemies. So it's only going to be dealing around 100 damage unless the victim is on fire (in which case it'd deal critical damage anyway).

Well, that's why I removed it from my version. Anything that makes a specific class or tactic less useful, especially a teammate's, is bad design, as is something that intentionally makes you less effective against one specific tactic. That's why the Cow Mangler was a bad, bad idea.
I still can't believe Valve made new animations, sounds and particle effects for only 2 weapons while the uber update only had new sounds....
