It's obvious that it's going to be a card game. They're practically telling you with those silhouettes.

Adding to OP.
where's guybrush threepwood
Maybe the story revolves around cards like the new Sam and Max revolves around the physic items
They all have cards containing faces of the other characters. They're hired by the announcer to kill each other.
gameplay like the ship
Even a cartoon/short-film would be cool
It should have been Wallace from Wallace and Gromit, instead of penny arcade.
Wow.
It better not be something lame. Like a card game or something stupid like that.
What else could it really be, a fighter?
I'm buying it because I like Penny-Arcade, Sam & Max, Team Fortress 2, Homestar Runner, and Telltale, whom I have faith in to make a good, fun game.
Sidenote: Seems like absolutely nobody I've shown this to [in Steam chat] so far has properly identified Tycho. One of you even failed to ID Strong Bad. I am disappoint. :eng99:
Yeah I wasn't saying I was only going to buy it for a hat in TF2, if the game looks good I'll buy it.
Wow.
also
it's on my birthday!
What else could it really be, a fighter?
Since Telltale is making it, it could easily be a point and click.
Gimme a plot summary for an adventure game that incorporates the four of them.
My speculation is that this will be related to the next Sam and Max episode considering the whole [sp]eldritch Max[/sp] dealio I wouldn't be surprised if they figured out a way to rationalize all of this and if they can't? I couldn't care less really it'll still be interesting to see what comes of this.
tycho, max, hwg, and strong bad all gang up against french suit-wearing ugly people that have something to do with tycho and max
Gimme a plot summary for an adventure game that incorporates the four of them.
I'll start with the title: Strong Bad and Max's Cool Game for Attractive BABIES: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Heavy's Crossbow Training
My guess is it's the Sam & Max season finale. Anyone who played all of the last episode would know why Sam would need help in the finale.
Valve what are you doing

dude holy FUCK
that's probably not true but if sam actually got help from other game characters in the last episode
holy fuck that would be incredible
I'll start with the title: Strong Bad and Max's Cool Game for Attractive BABIES: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Heavy's Crossbow Training
Okay, you know what?
The fact that this title could feasibly be used to describe the game pretty much guarantees whatever it is will be awesome.
But it'll still be a card game.

It would explain the S&M items in TF2 for preordering the whole season, wouldn't it? Telltale gets in Valve's game while Valve gets in Telltale's?
Texas Hold 'Em: Nerd Edition

So the title becomes: "Strong Bad and Max's Cool Game for Attractive BABIES: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Heavy's Crossbow Training: The TCG"?
It's possible some die-hard Homestar Runner fans have known about this since December. On the Homestar RSS feed, the Brothers Chaps posted that they had a new baby on the way and they've been on a really long hiatus. The last baby or 2 they had was only like a 1 month hiatus, however. Maybe this new baby was a video game baby?
Speaking of Homestar what happened to the Atari game they were working on?

That wasn't them. It was fan-made.

Is the second guy from the left Leonard from Sam & Max?
I don't care what the gameplay is like.
I will pre-order it as soon as we get a name.
Okay, my theory was debunked right on Telltale's homepage. Looks like the season finale comes August 30th.
Is the second guy from the left Leonard from Sam & Max?
Leonard first showed up in that, but he was called "Boris Krinkle" there. In the game, the player character usually told him that he looked more like he'd be called something akin to "Leonard Steakcharmer".
Fast foward to S&M, and he shows up again with the name "Leonard Steakcharmer." Sam then tells him that he looks more like a "Boris Krinkle."
I gather from this:
>Max being transformed into a giant demon isn't permanent
>Homestar Runner isn't dead
Two very good things
Well since it's not 305 that means we get both 305 and this too. This has the potential to be interesting and they'll probably find some way to make 305 fun without Max.
