Yeah, you should Also try to overheal the Spies and the Scouts first, as they will most likely be the farthest away from you when you are in the middle of a firefight. Giving them that extra boost can make their lives much easier.

The Heavy needs more love. I've been playing him a lot more recently, and I've been having fun sitting next to a dispenser and just laying down large amounts of suppressive fire on defense. Especially on Dustbowl.
"Need a dispenser here!" - Scout voice.
I love the scout.
Engineer all the way, love to secure area's or help the team moving forward in an offense
Demoman. He's black, Scottish, and a cyclops. Enough to win me over!
Haven't you skinned it in to a white kawaii girl with big eyes yet?
Spy, the class idea and game mechanic is unique to TF.
Then scout, because when god decides not to shit on us we can tear shit up.
I've always considered the fundamentals of the medic to be pretty easy, dodge and unload on any punk that get's you alone. I've always considered the blutsauger/buttsausage to be the deadliest weapon in the game, truthfully, the only really hard part I find in the medic is actually using communication and team work.
The fundamentals of any class are easy, but it can be difficult to stay alive if you don't know what you are doing. I've met a lot of players who might be well learned in other classes, but when they go Medic they panic and make stupid mistakes. They might Uber too late or too soon and break a push, they might panic when at low health and run away from the group only to make themselves more vulnerable and forgetting that they will regenerate their health. they might not know how to pick out healing targets when everyone is close together, they might not be as observant and they fail to warn of an ambush. And you're right, getting people to work together is the biggest challenge of being a Medic. As a Medic you basically need to be in charge to be the most effective, otherwise your team could just abandon you to die, or they might not know what to do when you have an uber. That happens a lot; You are traveling with a Soldier, they rocket jump away, and then you are left there alone with the other team facing you. (I always think that having a mic is a must if you want to be truly effective as Medic.
The Blutsauger and the Syringe Gun are both deadly weapons in the right hands, (I use Syringe Gun because I like the increased self healing rate.) but against a combative class that knows what he is doing, you have a slim chance at surviving, even if all of your needles hit. And most of the time you are at point blank range when you need to fight, making your chances of survival even lower. (I've found that the farther away you are from the enemy, the more deadly you are and the better your chances of survival are.)

Once you go black, you can never go back.
I like to play the Medic because you're on the front lines with everybody and you have bullets whizzing around you and you are enabling your teammates to do more damage and it gives you the GREATEST feeling you can get from a game.
Character-wise : Demoman. Who he is and how he is awesome.
Fun-wise : Spy. If played well, he is fun and is the master of execution of large teams.
BURN
MAIM
CRUSH
DESTROY
Take one guess as to my favourite class.

Scout? No, wait, it's Sniper, isn't it? ...Engineer?
Sniper is good when you are really on.
But spy feels awesome.

SPAH, because he can cloack and uncloack, kill with one backstab, disguise, and others...
PD: In the backpack, the spy have a Misc slot?

Camera Beard.
It's a close one for me.
I very much like the Heavy for his ability to stall the enemy with either a hail of lead or the bulk of his own body. The amount of fear he can strike into most enemies is nearly unparalleled, as more often than not unless they're stupid or have alot of back-up, people run away from me rather than continue the push.
Then there's the two classes I enjoy playing when I feel like being a tremendous cock-ass: Pyro and Scout.
Pyro's a great dickery class, especially since they updated the Flaregun to deliver mini-crits on burning targets. You just feel like such a magnificent douche when you double-tap that Scout/Medic/Engineer/Sniper/Spy, 'cause unless there's another Medic, Jarate Sniper, Air-blast Pyro, water, or med-kit nearby odds are they're not gonna make it. The air-blast is also especially useful in fuck-assery, particularly with Chargin' Demos or Uber-charges, as well as the tried-and-true "Ignite-Puff-Chop" maneuver. Failing that, you can use the air-blast to put enemies right where you want them, like off the side of that cliff, or in front of your team's Sentry nest...
Then there's the Scout. I usually play him on KOTH_Nucleus, and I have one purpose: Make their Sniper's life as miserable as fucking possible. Now that they've nerfed the Force-a-Nature to the degree where I don't feel like a cheap douche for using it, I enjoy using it to run right up next to Snipers, planting the FaN in their kidneys, and then let 'er rip. It's also particularly useful on Defense in terms of getting those bastards off of the point or, again, blasting them into Line-Of-Sight of the nearest friendly Sentry Gun.
You call it being a cock-ass.
I call it being effective.
According to the guiness book of world records and valve statistics, the most played class is the engineer and the least played class is the heavy
So i guess everyone loves the engineer?
Failing that, you can use the air-blast to put enemies right where you want them... ...in front of your team's Sentry nest...
This remains one of the most fun things I've ever done in TF2. Nothing better than catching a Demoman trying to sneak in some grenades to take out a sentry unaware and blasting him into the LoS of the sentry he was trying to kill. Bonus points if you can hit one of his grenades too.
Right. I'm playing this game purely for entertainment. Grenade Launcher is enough Demolishing for me, really. And jesus, I know what Demo stands for. Besides, all the weapons and such only brings up uniqueness among all the players. I like it Blow shit up and slice heads off, unoriginal isn't it? :v:
And I think idea behind Sword and Board is that he's some sorta Scottish warrior back in the days. Anyway, don't call Demoman stupid, it's brilliant!
No, there isn't enough demolition in this game. There are 5 explosive weapons in it, and 2 of them (Scottish Resistance and DH) are simple variations. I mean, I really wanted to see cool explosive weapons for the Demoman in the update, but instead of focusing on his function, Valve made the weapons based on the character, not the Demolition man, but the Black Scottish Cyclops.
Also, I'm not calling the Demoman stupid, I'm calling Valve stupid. I'm not being ungrateful for all the updates, but just saying the Demo one was the worst class update ever.
I agree with Zuk. Last time i checked demolitions involved explosives, and not middle age dragon slaying equipement.
Anyway, my favorite class is either Engie or Scout.
Engie has the cool gadgets, the cool voice and the cool pdas. He's cool
Scout has double jump (Soldiers are very easy to kill, even those direct hit spammers), speed and cool weapons (Energy drink, Scattergun, Aluminium Bat)
Least fave class: Either Snipes or Spy. i suck at spy and Sniper was a cool guy until he had the ability to throw JARS OF URINE at people. That's just stupid.
Personality-wise - scout
gameplay-wise - soldier
Scout has double jump (Soldiers are very easy to kill, even those direct hit spammers)
I eat Scouts for breakfast as a Soldier. The fact that you have to get in close to be effective with your Scattergun makes it even easier to splash you to death.
Also, do you STILL not have the game? You really shouldn't be making comparisons like you do if you've only played the free weekend.

What a terrible idea.
Heavy, IT IS ALWAYS GOOD DAY TO BE GIANT MAN
Demoman for me. I love the character himself, as well as the gameplay.
I rig up capture points to blow, the enemy team decides to rush, then I blow everyone on the point to hell.

But if I don't get my Magikarp experience, I'll never get a Gyrados!

According to his devianart he uses undead patch so..
Also I like Spy, because DR is just awesome to play with and confuse enemies.

Either way people find me especially annoying as Pyro or Scout. :v:
Spy because for me half the pleasure is in the planning and it gets no better then spy
