To get the specs, you need to have one of your steam friends refer to you when they buy something from the store and go premium.

Website progress is going great. I really have to thank the awesome team that is working on it. Really, without them, I would be a little kitten lost in dog paradise.
We might be able to have a few people test the website, soon, but for now, stay coaching and stay tuned.

It lets me be coached, but I would really love to help some new players out, yet when I am "added to the coaching list" I never receive a student. I've only been able to coach like twice since it's came out.
I don't have any firewalls or proxy's the only AV i have is nod32 but I disable it.

That's because:
1. You can just go in the game and coach, you don't need to have a registered student.
2. The student/coach system is being reworked, that's why you are not getting any students right now.

We just want to help those who are new to TF2 and really want to play it.
I'm having a hard time finding people who understand English but I'm still going. Coaching is fun man.
Also, if I coach with my mic, my student is the only one that can hear me right?
I'd love to help, but I tried to coach my friend earlier. It didn't end very well, as he seemed to be very unresponsive. The controls for coaching are also either very terrible or I'm terrible at using them. Does the little green outline around your student not show up on DX8?
I just spent my whole day playing with this f2p'er I became friends with. I showed him the ropes, taught him about weapons, drops, crafting, and trading, told him about the Meet the videos and the wiki, and we played serious games on Turbine together. He was actually really good as Scout. I wasn't technically coaching him, but I felt it appropriate to post here.
So when we were playing, I randomly got the Specs, and I was dumbfounded because I completely forgot about receiving them for helping new players. He said, "Thanks for all the help, you earned these." I was like: :swoon: Looks good on Wizard Demo.
I felt good about myself.

Ok I have applied to be a coach already but I have a few questions to ask.
1) If you apply to be a coach and then it turns out you are awful at teaching or you just don't like it can you withdraw?
2) I know there is no official benchmark but I'm guessing there must be some way that you guys quality control who becomes a coach no? I'm sure lots of new people who think they are fabulous would love to teach people that ubering snipers out of combat is the smart thing to do. So my question is what are the criteria?
3) Can I change what I put on my form? The thing is because I don't know what kind of skill level you guys want I put down my main class medic. Which leads me neatly onto:
4) Let's say I play on the lotus clan arena servers and Payload servers and on a 20 min map cycle on an arena server I usually end up at the top of the board (not hard as a medic tbh) with between 70-120 (145 is my record) points and around 20-30K healing (record is 50K)?
5) Do you guys even want a guy who only teaches one class in one language?
Sorry I know there's a lot to answer there but I am curious as to how this will work out. Hopefully more willing and able students will turn up when all of this takes off with the website and the blog posts.
