Found a F2Player on a Medieval server. I gave him some weapons and asked him to add me. I asked if he planed on buying the game and he said sometime next week. Speks here I come!
New event in the group: Site goes live. Few seconds later: postponed :(
New event in the group: Site goes live. Few seconds later: postponed :(
Blame the data server. It's up tomorrow. On Friday, Friday.
I helped a player out being an Engineer. Totally by accident, and I kinda liked it. I signed up for the Coaching Society and joined the Steam Group. I'm only able to teach about Pyro, Engineer, and Demoman, though.
I tried this, I didn't get my specs. Was I ripped off?
I tried this, I didn't get my specs. Was I ripped off?
How many times does it have to be said by everyone?
The specs have absolutely nothing at all to do with coaching.
You get the specs when you get someone to get a premium account for TF2 and they list you as having introduced them to the game.
SITE WILL BE RELEASED SOON. JOIN THE CHAT TO GET THE LINK FIRST. [editline]9th July 2011[/editline] http://meili.ws/Dragory/tf2coaches.net/ Enjoy.
That reminds me, I should finish those Spy info posters!
http://meili.ws/Dragory/tf2coaches.net/?p=0
Yeah, here it is again.
The domain shall change to www.tf2coaches.net soon. [editline]9th July 2011[/editline] The site is still a work in progress, by the way. If you have any suggestions or bugs to report, send us an E-Mail (address shown at the right on the website).
By the way, the site is being reported as a fraud. Huh. It's a lie, by the way.
Disguise kit! What do you guys think?
http://meili.ws/Dragory/tf2coaches.net/ Enjoy.
Uhh... :pwn:
Uhh... :pwn:
Some dick's been falsely reporting the site. It's fake. Proceed anyway.
Some dick's been falsely reporting the site. It's fake. Proceed anyway.
I knew it would be more-or-less safe. I wasn't going to trust anything that asks for any of my information, though.
If it hasn't been done already, I would type up a guide on how to play several of the classes. Also, the profile creator isn't working, and the web page design isn't coming up.
I knew it would be more-or-less safe. I wasn't going to trust anything that asks for any of my information, though.
But the site is safe.
Just got my speks. What does it look best on?
But the site is safe.
I know! : \ My entire post was in the past tense. (": \" for lack of a better image-based smilie...)
So are you gonna contact Valve about updating their blog with our new site, or do you want to wait until we have the URL TF2coaches.net? Because we barely have any students right now.

2manyCoaches I'm also writing a sort of advanced soldier guide so you guys could show it to your students once it's finished. And once they've got down the basics. It might also be interesting to people who need help with proper config setup/ customization. Reading through it again I actually think half of the stuff is about TF2 in general.
Can anyone give me an experience they had coaching using the in-game Coaching option? I haven't used it yet, and I have no idea what to expect. The Wiki says you mainly point at things and say "kill that" or "protect that", just want first hand info on it.

You have 3 views of your student, you can view them in their first person, third person, or as a spectator who can fly around, except he can't go more than 30 feet or so from the student. You chat with them in a chat that apparently only they can read. You have several options like you said before to tell them "attack here" and "defend here" which works a lot like "pinging" in Portal 2's co-op.
What i think might aid us is trying to create some slightly more advanced version of the valve training maps for each class. So i'd like lots of ideas on what you think should be covered in intermediate lessons on the engi, soldier, demo and spy and what basic lessons should cover for the other classes. Perhaps ideas a generic all class tutorial too on crouch jumping and stuff like that too. I'd also like all the ideas to still be doable in the original valve training map, perhaps with a few tweaks like they're is in the valve training maps.
Why not organize big training session. We are a lot of coaches. We can create complex situation and teach the student how to get rid off some ennemy configuration. (That would be a kind of advanced training to complete existing ones).
We got an overload of new students, by the way.
Alright, setting up a system that lets us have different language versions of the site later on. Want to help translating? Send an email to contact@tf2coaches.net.
Man the phishing thing is annoying. Anyway is it rude to friend invite a student after offering?
