The Professional (Based off Golgo 13's m16) - Primary Weapon for Sniper
PROS = 5 bullet clips
CONS = Body shots charged or not will do less damage
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The mean Greaser (simply a M3 'Grease Gun') - Sidearm for Sniper and Soldier & Primary for Engineer
PROS = 20% larger clip
AVERAGE = Yields less ammunition when picked up by others
CONS = 15% slower Reload
ye fits sniper g00d cod is a good game tf2 needs more from it!!!11!!!
It's the height of the Cold War. Semantics don't matter. As long as you're between the end of WWII and the 70's, you're roughly in the right spot.

These are so fucking retarded it's not even funny.
When I was clicking on the thread I thought "The OP is going to have really dumb suggestions." Guess who's psychic.
Yes please add an automatic rifle into the game so all the codaboos can finally realize even their precious rifles cannot save them from death.
I want a thompson for sniper. Like really badly.
Bad aesthetic choices but a semi-automatic sniper would be interesting.
More so than a piss rifle anyway.
I was kind of thinking of a semi-auto sniper earlier, actually. It would've essentially been the Sniper's SMG with a scope and a longer barrel.
(+) Stays scoped after each shot
(+) 600% ammo (6 shots instead of 1)
(+) 50% faster refire
(+) 20% charge rate
(-) 30% damage
(-) 50% refire accuracy
So it would be much faster, but it wouldn't hit quite as hard, with a few other things tossed in to try and balance it some.
(Please keep in mind that the exact percentages could/would differ greatly if playtested. These are currently just random numbers that sound good to me right now.)

An SMG for the sniper would be nice. I really don't want another shield or Jarate variant.
I'm pretty sure this is what the Emporium is for.
needz perks so you can quicksc0pe XDD no wat i mean? XDDD
Well, I can expect Soldier Jokes for at least 4 pages.
not that there is something wrong with it
Why would you even think of adding "realism" to TF2? I really, really don't get it.
Also; More Sniper and Soldier weapons? No thanks.

More like more sniper weapons that aren't kukris or shields/jarates.
Well, there used to be an old suggestions thread but that faded into obscurity and fell so far back that bumping it would probably get somebody banned.
Anyways, i'm still wondering whether or not Engineer being able to give players some sort of Armour would be a good idea or not. But if it were, it'd probably give players temporary protection like most Armour does, at the cost of requiring Metal.
There'd need to be certain balancings done, such as maybe having Armour preventing Overheal since it's absorbing damage already, as well as making it so that stronger classes aren't made nigh-invincible by the added protection, so that weaker classes benefit more from Armour than stronger ones, 'cause a Heavy with too much protection can be a bit OP.
Still, I dunno whether it should be a building replacement or an unlockable weapon. I thought about it being like maybe an alternate "secondary fire", like it would replace Hauling, but Hauling's a bit too important to replace.
If some want to know about why the M3 aka Mean Greaser (a mediocre name I'll admit, but not as completey bland as The Professional) is suggested usable by Engie, Sniper, and Soldier, here's my reasons.
Engineer = M3s were usually crafted from scrap metal, which was cheaper to mass produce than most other SMGs at the time.
Soldier = The M3 was created during World War II as a cheaply produced alternative to the Thompson, even though the M3 was destined to replace the Thompson, The M3 saw little action in WW2.
Sniper = Not much reason whatsoever these weren't commonly used by Aussies, it's more for the fact sniper uses an SMG as a sidearm, and the only additions of the slot are shields and jars of piss
After a bit of research, The M16 was first designed in 1957 and produced in 1960, but didn't get implemented into service until 1963.
So it is somewhat TF2 era, the many attachments are questionable though.
-sniping on the stoopit shit-
First of all, no one wants a tacticlol m16 in TF2, second of all, its a magazine, not a clip. We don't need another SMG for the sniper anyways.

The picture for the M16 is from a fucking airsoft website :wtc:

I know it's from an airsoft website (What's wrong with using an airsoft gun to show how it would look?), it's a Japanese airsoft replica of the M16 used by Golgo 13, the main fictional character of a Manga & Anime series, 4 movies, and a pair of NES games.

Togo is a professional assassin who uses his rifle strictly for sniping to pick off his targets from long distances, and is always on the move since there are many people who want him dead.
I doubt the Sniper was modeled after Golgo, but it's a coincidence
More like more sniper weapons that aren't kukris or shields/jarates.
No, I'm serious. I don't see no problem with the Sniper rifles, kukris', shields or Jarate. He has a decent selection of weapons, and the Sydney Sleeper can be really helpful to the team as long as the Sniper wielding this isn't a point whoring, selfish bastard sniping for other snipers ONLY. Engineer is the major problem when it comes to lack of items, but you already know that.
This may be a crappy one for it would make TF2 more like COD or Fallout, but it would be interesting to have various attachments like silencers, different types of ammunition, etc.. that can be attached to guns, and even some mods for Melee weapons such as metal-plating a weapon to make it do more damage, but slower to swing.
I'll admit, it's absolute crap and is only relevant to TF2 because of the game taking place in an era when weapon customization is really popular.

This smells like a troll thread, but I'll post anyway
New Shotgun for Pyro:
The Arsonist's Aggressor
Pros:
Mini-crits on players that were previously extinguished by another player
CRITS on the person who extinguished the player(s)
Cons:
2 shots
Appearance: A NORMAL Double barreled shotgun (not FaN) but with no fancy faster firing rates, etc. Perhaps has crudely drawn pictures of burning targets on the stock on barrel.

Extremely situational and useless.

Indeed, most Pyros I see are complete idiots and don't know they can extinguish.
ScreamingGerbil made this apple picker gun for his apple pack, I though of some pretty good stats for it I think.

-20% damage done
on alt-fire launches an apple at sticky launcher speed, when it hits something it bursts and anyone in it's splash radius takes minicrits for 5 seconds.
