It's not the cfg folder that did it, that motherfucking taintroach of a virus took most of my CPU is what fucked it up. [editline]09:51AM[/editline] Anyway thanks so much guys you've all helped a lot with this. [editline]09:59AM[/editline] Holy shit this gave like a 50 FPS boost to every game I have, CSS goes at like 160 FPS now.
I am sad now.

Weird. I have a 8600GT with a Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ and I can run the game at 1280X1024 with 8AA at playable 30 FPS.
turn the AA the fuck down there is no point in having your AA higher than 4x and it will increase performance by a lot
Yeah, I keep it at 4x because the difference on graphics will be minimal, but the impact on performance will be greater.
turn the AA the fuck down there is no point in having your AA higher than 4x and it will increase performance by a lot
I don't know why, but on my HD4850, at 1280x1024, more than 4x AA looks worse than 4x, and runs worse. I have no idea why.
