I think it's just a bit too visually noisy. Take the above chart and compare the weapons. One looks far more simple to read and understand than the other. I believe that the same sort of effect could have been done with the Cow Mangler, but it's got so much intricate detail (compared to stock TF weapons) that it complicates things visually.

I tried it multiple times, i never took more self-damage from it.
Also I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but if you kill yourself using the afterburn from your charged shot, you use the "fire and skull" kill icon that wasn't previously used.

True but think of how different it is compared to the original rocket launcher. This thing launches gigantic glowing plasma wave thingies and looks damn ridiculous and flashy for that very same reason. However I do agree its visually cluttered, and a little too light sliver coloured in my opinion.
You'd have to agree though that this thing fits the classical 60's Sci-Fi. It even goes "pew pew" and everything.
Gah, why is it I never have the stuff to craft these weapons when they are extremely OP?
So, I guess I'll have to find a black box.

Another note: If you kill an enemy with a Bison projectile while you are holding another weapon, it will use whatever weapon you're holding's kill icon.
It seems buggy: Shows shovel kill icon when using Equalizer and skull and bones when using stock RL, if you use the katana, it will get bloody but does not allow you to switch weapons.

I don't care much about the stats, maybe it's a bit powerful and I don't really have problem with the way it looks. But god damn I hope Valve does something about the particles. It's okay most of the time but when I'm hit it starts to lower my framerate.

Place yourself between the spy and the sentry, he'll have to move, it's also quite rare for an engineer to be all alone, being alone is one of his weakness.

Standing in the way won't do shit because the Spy could aim at a different location that goes through the engineer's legs or under his arm or something. It's not difficult to adjust one's precise aim.
The weapon doesn't put the spy at much risk but allows him to pester an engineer incessantly. With the sapper, the Spy has to approach the sentry first, which allows an Engineer a chance to stop the annoyance at the source. Since Sappers don't drop the spy's disguise, the Engineer has no idea which of his teammates is actually sapping his building from range while still keeping it repaired. He'd be forced to turn his back to everyone just to keep it from exploding. Since the Spy is at very little risk for this annoyance, I have deemed it far more frustrating to engineer players than anything else. The Spy may have a weapon designed for annoying the Engineer, but the Spy cannot simply do it from safety.
