If that's the case, their software/musicians make really convincing music.

I don't play TF2 anymore (or rarely), so, I'm okay with this. :D

If that's the case, their software/musicians make really convincing music.[/QUOTE] There's software for that (Significantly overpriced to scare away amateurs and promote elitism, of course) and it usually gives a great results, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually a software composition with real instrument samples and not a real orchestra

TF2 sounds like it IS an orchestra though. Wait. Valve Studios [i]ORCHESTRA[/i]

For TF2 it's more like a jam session with a bunch of buddies.

Yeah, talked to Mike Morasky about his music a while back. He said he tries to use all live instruments. But he also said that he often records the instruments individually and mixes them together (obviously this is how tons of stuff is done, makes it so much more free how you can go about editing afterward too) There's lots of professional-sounding digital instruments out there, but getting a final product that sounds as natural as the TF2 music would be pretty hard.

Turns out that it is almost utterly self-defeating to block guys who cause arguments, because it [i]doesn't[/i] edit out the inevitable quote 1-2 posts down by the guy he's arguing with and you just wind up reading the blocked posts via proxy.
