Wait do you seriously have to pay to get TF2 for the Xbox? It's fucking free to play now.
I think he means 'From Dust'.
Great a good looking promo for a game I was actually wanted to pre-order anyway. Also, more Meet the Medic music. Great update. :D
Oooh, from dust. I was getting it anyway but a hat makes it all the better. Doesn't look too shabby, IMO.
May not look shabby, but it most certainly looks shaggy.
Since it's from Ubisoft, From Dust will also have that shitty DRM noone likes. Stay sharp.
i'm not a whiner so i don't give a shit because i realize that in 2011 almost everybody who would care about from dust has a permanent internet connection anyway
i'm not a whiner so i don't give a shit because i realize that in 2011 almost everybody who would care about from dust has a permanent internet connection anyway
It's not like it can't get interrupted. But hey, it's 2011!!!

Such as people that live in places where the government thought it'd be a bright idea to make the telecommunications hardware network run by a private monopoly. Or really any part of the large majority of the world that simultaneously doesn't live in fairly privileged conditions but would still like to access entertainment.
Internet connections aren't as reliable as they could be, anyway. It's not very hard for some people to face random disconnects for no apparent reason. It's a nice attempt to try to combat piracy, but an awful idea.
For your information, the new medic song, those trumpet lip trills aren't easy to pull off. I've spent years trying to do them and I'm still average with em.
i'm not a whiner so i don't give a shit because i realize that in 2011 almost everybody who would care about from dust has a permanent internet connection anyway
That's like saying the whole "delete your games if you don't log in in two years" thing is OK, because people CAN login everyday. It's still making legit customers jump through hoops to play the game.

true story: my steam account went idle for 2 years, from 2007 to 2009

if it works then it's not pointless [editline]30th July 2011[/editline] and i don't have a 1993 dial-up internet connection so it doesn't harm me
if it works then it's not pointless
It doesn't, people still pirate the game and it works fine
It doesn't work... my internet connection is very unstable, like all connections in my area. I'm not going to move house to play Assassin's Creed 2 for longer than 1 hour at a time...
It doesn't, people still pirate the game and it works fine
yeah except piracy rates went down dramatically as reported by what's-his-face do you seriously think that they'd keep using it if it didn't work
yeah except piracy rates went down dramatically as reported by what's-his-face do you seriously think that they'd keep using it if it didn't work
You're about as useful to have an argument with as a brick wall.
yeah totally i'm the one going ad hominem and talking out of my arse while the other guy's giving actual facts either way "Ubisoft is claiming that, unlike Driver, this game will NOT require a permanent connection after all. It will include some form of extra DRM, but it is yet to detail what shape that will take. Online activation is a given, but we'll have to wait for further comment to see how far that activation stretches."
if it works then it's not pointless [editline]30th July 2011[/editline] and i don't have a 1993 dial-up internet connection so it doesn't harm me
It protects the copy of a game YOU ALREADY BOUGHT. Times when piracy meant copying your friend's CD are over.
Are you guys really arguing about whether people are buying it for the game or not, and whether to pirate it?
I made my story up anyway tbh
if it works then it's not pointless [editline]30th July 2011[/editline] and i don't have a 1993 dial-up internet connection so it doesn't harm me
I don't know about you, but this is where I live. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/bjKWF.jpg[/thumb] So, you know, I don't really get good connections, and so DRM affects me a whole fucking lot.
One of the youtube comments
It's a clear joke.
I don't see why people complain about promo items so much, I think they're a good thing. Personally I knew nothing about this game before, but now that they released a promo in TF2 for it I actually took a look at it and I'm interested in the game now. I don't give a shit about the promo itself, but its existence actually informed me of a game I might enjoy that I might not have known about otherwise. You know, the point of promo items.
