Nintendo. Can't really say anything bad about them. They have good prices and have a lot of quality games featuring popular franchises.
They remake everything and have a horrible online system for the Wii. My only gripes
meanwhile at [del]The legion of doom headquarters[/del] Microsoft. [IMG_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10565588/meawhileatms.png[/IMG_thumb]
Yet you have an avatar of a Spartan helmet. :colbert:
Yet you have an avatar of a Spartan helmet. :colbert:
lol Microsoft =/= Bungie
Nintendo is a company that practically prints their own money. You will never have to worry about the Wii requiring payment to play online. :v:
At least they're making amends with the PS3. Too bad Microsoft still has a dumb business model
Nintendo is a company that practically prints their own money.
I bet their next console will have that function.
They remake everything
Remakes/Rehashed ideas aren't necessarily a bad thing. Mario came very far to be the most recognizable video game character, and all he does is rescue a princess over and over again.
horrible online system
This I agree with.
No, microsoft gets eviler every day.
:bandwagon:
Microsoft has customers. Valve has fans. This is why.
you couldn't have put it any better.
Yet you have an avatar of a Spartan helmet. :colbert:
deal w/ it [editline]11:22PM[/editline] :smug:
deal w/ it [editline]11:22PM[/editline] :smug:
and why am I to deal with the fact that you break a natural law of internets oh look time for more page king elitism crap
Thanks Valve, instead of reporting on ideas on how to fix this problem we already know about it you just tell us about it. Again. Yay, now I have to get another computer to play updated TF2. Sweet.
Nintendo. Can't really say anything bad about them. They have good prices and have a lot of quality games featuring popular franchises.
I can say one bad thing: 480p output

Especially an update of TF2's magnitude.
How can they fix it? Microsoft is probably pretty unwilling to give out free anything. How is that stopping them from releasing the content for TF2 since they obviously don't care if the customer has to pay on this platform?
Because TF2 has a shitload of more content than L4D and L4D2 does. Getting all of it on the 360 version wouldn't even be worth it.
Yay, now I have to get another computer to play updated TF2. Sweet.
you must buy shitty computers
They said that the update would be to big in file size, right?
The 360 has a hardrive on most models, and the TF2 updates themselves excesses of data on the PC that can be trimmed without impacting the game Valve could just release TF2 as a stand-alone product on XBLA, but that would just bandage the problem since they are incredibly lazy with play-testing and rely on constant patching and feedback just to keep the game playable
If you want the new TF2 update it will require $20. :smug: Charges and fee's apply.
Charge $5 for a DLC after the Polycount pack is released with all the extra content that they've been missing out on.
1.Make standalone game with everything up to this point. 1.5 However...hats are the only thing that is a random drop. no weps. 2.sell as tf2 gold for $20 3.???? 4.Profit!
I remember reading it was a memory issue, not the size of the game, that was preventing Valve from releasing any of it.
Re-release an updated Xbox version in retail outlets with a "Bring the old copy, get the new one free + 50% off on Portal 2 coupon" promotion.
Re-release an updated Xbox version in retail outlets with a "Bring the old copy, get the new one free + 50% off on Portal 2 coupon" promotion.
That sounds like a good bargain.
Re-release an updated Xbox version in retail outlets with a "Bring the old copy, get the new one free + 50% off on Portal 2 coupon" promotion.
There is no standalone TF2 on Xbox; people would have to trade-in The Orange Box.
Hey, PS3 players had the generically the same B.S., whilst Sony was okay with free distributio, of content and gave it out often, (at developers choice) and newell ignored that, and said "... Sony sux." Sure they are at amends now, and might actually update tf2 like the PC version, (it was announced steamworks were coming to PS3) But we had the same thing, only we had the resources and got insulted by our hero. [editline]02:58AM[/editline]
If you want the new TF2 update it will require $20. :smug: Charges and fee's apply.
and knowing DLC, servers that dont have it wont let you connect, and if you dont have it you cant connect to the servers that do. :black101: [editline]03:00AM[/editline]
Thanks Valve, instead of reporting on ideas on how to fix this problem we already know about it you just tell us about it. [editline]03:00AM[/editline] If it does happen, and you dont want to get a PS3, then perhaps Gates will shit himself and try to compete, while squeezing money out of everyone.
The only problem with this content being paid for is that it isn't optional. With L4D, it's campaigns that you don't necessarily have to play. But with TF2, I don't see how you could possibly play without it. If it has to be paid for, you should just pay for the right to use it. You can purchase the ability to use all weapons, and you can also purchase sets of hats, with other games unlocking special hats in the same way you unlock avatar clothes.
The issue isn't hard drive space, in that sense of memory, it's a problem with RAM. In a decent game of TF2, your pc is running around fetching hundreds more models than it had to back when TF2 came out, simply because each player potentially has 2-5 items on them. in a 24 player game, that could be as many as 120 additional items that the pc has to get from memory and render. On our mighty PCs, that's fine since we all have at least 1gb of ram. But on the 360. That's a problem.
Uh. What are you talkinf about you crazy bastard. The specs of a 360 doesn't matter, because the XBOX and PS3 versions are optimized to hell and back. If the 360 can play Crysis 2, I'm pretty damn sure it can handle an updated TF2.
