Yet you have an avatar of a Spartan helmet.

Looks like the helmet from the second game. Second game came out on PC.
If it does happen, and you dont want to get a PS3, then perhaps Gates will shit himself and try to compete, while squeezing money out of everyone.
Bill Gates hasn't been the CEO of Microsoft in years.

Halo and Halo 2 both are out on PC and Xbox. I have no idea what you're insinuating with that post, nor do I care, but I just wanted to point that out.
Uh.
What are you talkinf about you crazy bastard.
The specs of a 360 doesn't matter, because the XBOX and PS3 versions are optimized to hell and back.
If the 360 can play Crysis 2, I'm pretty damn sure it can handle an updated TF2.
Wait what?
Are you saying the console is optimised or the game?
Because if it's the latter, it hasn't been optimised for the updates, as the RAM issue comes into play, just like the poster you quoted said.
Also, Crysis 2 is a game designed to go multiplatform, it can leverage the capabilities of the console, and the PC. Sadly, TF2 is a PC game first, and outcries for it to be optimised on the PC itself has gone unheard for quite a few people.
"The lack of updates on the 360 for TF2 is... a total failure,"
I still play The 360 Version, and I don't give a single fuck about the lack of updates.
Besides, the Ps3 version never had a single update so far.
Nintendo.
Can't really say anything bad about them. They have good prices and have a lot of quality games featuring popular franchises.
Sure you can.
As a developer, their connection to their fanbase is very weak. They still base almost all of their decisions on sales figures and it takes a huge uproar from their fans for them to notice. That fanbase is also probably the one of the most hostile and intolerant fanbases out there right now. They milk their franchises just like many of the companies FP tends to hate do. There hardware is outdated, and they don't show much interest in catching up.
As a publisher, they attract a lot of mediocre third party developers who either make unremarkable casual games or simply don't know how to effectively integrate the Wii/DS's motion control.
In other words, they're a company that's struggling to get out of the 90s with a tendency to attract developers who don't know what they're doing.
Also, Nintendough.
TF2 doesn't even play well on the Xbox anyway, it is the most boring load of shit anyone could ever lay their hands on.
Valve games are meant for the PC.
And another praise for the PS3. And I saw it coming straight away.
Microsoft are just as bad as Apple.
I only dislike the Xbox because I have to pay for something I already have.

It doesn't take a genius to know that Nintendo will just let anybody hash out games for them, most of them being pieces of crap, ( I agree with you on this ) so do what I do. Ignore them. However, being the most technologically advanced doesn't really matter to me, and really, it shouldn't to anyone. Kinda ties in with the gameplay over graphics dispute. Me, I'd much rather play a super-fun, low-poly Mario game than a realistic FPS shooter that doesn't appeal to me at all, but that is just me. Being the most advanced videogame industry doesn't matter as long as you love the company and their games.

That has got nothing to do with the PS3 version of TF2 being updated.
They are just talking about their success with bringing Steamworks to the PS3.

Okay then. EA Europe ported the Orange Box to the PS3. That means Valve would have to rewrite a good deal of the code to be compatible with Steamworks. Code that they're unfamiliar with because they didn't port it.

That would also imply Valve would do work that wasn't be profitable to them in some way, especially something of this magnitude

You think they can magic Steamworks onto the PS3 version of The Orange Box?
I thought you said Microsoft hates customers at first, which oddly enough also works in this context.
This makes no sense. All companies love customers.
I hope valve puts steam on PS3
I hope valve puts steam on PS3
They are implementing SteamWORKS, not Steam itself
What are they gonna do about the EA ports?
Microsoft =/= Bungie
why am I dumbed for this
Bungie split from Microsoft back in 2007
Can someone tell me a downs person like myself what steamworks is exactly?
It's... I'm not sure.
Isn't it the coding that runs Steam?
