Not quite what I meant. I was stating that was what I read it as and I was meaning it could be true on the terms of how little care Microsoft has for a customer once a transaction has been made.

Seems like he was accusing him of being an Xbox fanboy because he had a Halo avatar. Part of Halo franchise, including the one that helmet appears to be from, is on PC.

Why does Xbox live only allow 1 update? Didn't MW2 get like 4 patches/updates?

Microsoft probably pays them a lot of money to keep it exclusive on the Xbox, and Bungie is no longer working with the PC after Halo 2 AFAIK.
