Steam displays the download size wrong sometimes.
Seriously guys, help me out here.
It really WAS 2.6 gb, it took fucking forever to finish too.
And now the same thing happened again.
Fuck yeah updated the localization files woo
I'm going to go worst case scenario and say your hard drive is messed up in some places causing the files to get corrupted when downloading, making steam need to re-download that 2.6 of broken grey area each time
but there's a large chance I'm wrong

Uhh, no, Steam displays the size wrong. Unless you happened to install the game yesterday, and paused it, and continued it today, that's not possible. The only reason its taking forever to finish is because you have absolute shit internet. You yourself said you get 30 kb/s
Look I have a feeling the grockets are going to remain there forever, not just because Valve are going to bring out more weapons just because it's part of the "storyline" of how the guns came to be there in the first place.
