It was easier when it had the Ullapool resistance thing
-snip wrong thread-
I use the sticky jumper sometimes to deceive the enemy by laying fake traps.
I jump the battlements and loch-n-load the snipers.
After a while they rage quit or get a pyro to help them.

AKA the reason I had seizures for many days.
I really think that Rocket Jumpers / Sticky Jumpers should
a. drop
b. have a crafting recipe
c. NOT have damage vulnerabilities
d. prevent ANY explosive damage from being dealt.
This last one is something of note. A Demoman can't sticky-jump and caber like he could, but he can put on the booties and use whatever melee he pleases. Think of it as an extension of the whole shield gameplay. The Soldier simply returns to the pre-nerf jumper, where he could shotgun freely.

But using caber + jumper was so f*cking awesome... untill those bastards nerfed the shit outta it :(
I'd say, have half of the current damage vulnerabilities and the rest goes back as it used to be.
Or just award the Rocket Jumper and Sticky Jumper after completing the Soldier and Demo training courses, they'd be untradable and not usable in crafting.

and the previously crafted ones become vintage LOLOLOLOL HURR DURR

They should do something like this with all classes. It'd encourage new players to get better.

Valve should just force newbies to go through Training before getting into the game so I don't have to hear 'whats ubercharge' with 3 medics on my team. Or Spy's doing god knows what as they skulk around and stand behind that heavy without uncloaking to stab.
just for kicks i mocked up the new medals next to the old ones

Looks like they retextured the Soldier medal this time.
:v:
Oh my god writing that sentence took about 5 tries.
Something is wrong with me.

Or use the Rocket jumper to piss off Kritzkrieg medics. :v:
They really should just add a stackable badge slot, where you can put up to three badges on your chest.

You're forgetting the whole "8-sticky jump/damageless walljumps" thing.

God I hate that they changed that at the last minute. I loved those other medals, but the new ones are SO TINY.
