Viewmodels off what
How do you change them off for specific weapons?
On on on, always on. I wouldn't be able to stand it without them. I usually keep things about default anyway.
I need it for reloading.
On, because reloading is not completely synchronized with the sounds you will hear, and these are your only non-visual clues with viewmodels off
I use viewmodel_fov 45 and make it clutter the screen even MORE. :smugdog: Deal w/ it
On, it looks empty and weird with it off.
I would just feel weird without them.
I tried it with them off once and it just felt like I was firing bullets out of my face. [editline]10:53PM[/editline] oh shit i voted off by mistake >.<
I've always kept my viewmodels on, in every game. Same with SGTNAPALM, I tend not to be able to hit anything without them. The cluttered up aspect doesn't really effect me much, you should see my World of Warcraft UI. In a party of five with a focus target, I can usually see through 30% of my screen.
On. Jesus christ, it's no thard to keep your eye on the enemy. It's not like if they go behind your shotgun suddenly they teleport around. Plus you're more likely to have say a shotgun out, and expect to fire a rocket, but OH WAIT. BUCKSHOT.

Having no view models is kind of boring I mean why can't you see your own hands?

I still don't get why it's such an obtrusive reload, compared to the other 3 shotgun reload animations.
Having no viewmodels would make me think im playing as a guy who has a chaingun in his dick.
Always on. Do i really want to shoot bullets out of my face?
I used to turn it off on those old fastpaced games (QuakeIIIArena, Return to Castle Wolfenstein), because it was in the way and it gave others an advantage when coming from the right. However, TF2 isn't as fast-paced so it's always on for me.
always on
I want to feel like I have arms, thank you very much.
It was weird, the day they enabled the option to turn viewmodels off, I turned them off and my aim increased by shit tons, especially with the shotgun. I even hit people in mid-air using the pipe-bomb launcher :v:
Just watching videos with them off makes me feel uncomfortable. Plus I'm scatterbrained and would shoot rocket but get buckshot instead, probably.
Off.
It is when the shotgun wielded by the heavy is reloaded. Several seconds of blindless for a class where you have to be alert to everything around you isn't good.
I was just playing Heavy where I had to use my shotgun, and it really didn't effect my vision that much. Maybe I'm just used to having massive UI elements blocking my screen or something.
ON.
Why the fuck would you turn them off?
