All of the items are textured to fit TF2's style, even though the sniper rifle and the helmet do look a little realistic. There would be an actual problem if all of the new items added looked like this:
Are those from Duke Nukem?
Are those from Duke Nukem?
That they are.
Man, what a shame.
The new engy weapons sound horrible. I hope valve fixes them.
I think the shotgun should get 150-175% metal back on hit.
Also, couldn't they just simply write "-35 metal per shot"?
I think the shotgun should get 150-175% metal back on hit.
I think actually getting 1 metal for each point of damage done would be nice.
the shotgun, however, is just fun to use.
A battle engy with decent aim (such as myself) did very well with it. You get most of the ammo used back with damage, and then when they die you collect their fallen weapon and basically refill your ammo.
But it doesn't seem to get random crits, unless it was my imagination.
I got mine immediately. Visit the Store and exit?
I thought that didn't work anymore.
Ceiling Man said that yesterday...
Still nothing. Can't believe I'm gonna open a ticket about this.

Did you pre-order on Steam?
Did you pre-order on Steam?
Yep. Augmented Edition. I got the original game and I'm preloading.
Why have they not ported a Jester Cap in by now?
Jetfighter5 I hope you get the items.
Back when I pre-ordered Mount & Blade with Fire n' Sword, took some days to get my hats. I got them later than expected because I bought the complete Mount and Blade pack, that was probably it.

You could try steam support if it you stuff doesnt pop up, Its helped me out when issues occurred when I goofed.
I have this hunch that the Widowmaker applies random damage spread both when you hit the enemy and when you collect metal from that hit. It seems to calculate them as separate spreads, as you'll sometimes collect like 25 metal on a 19 hit, or 12 metal on a 15 hit.

How does that even happen when there are weapons that give back things directly proportional to damage dealt when there is Mad Milk or a Battle Banner of any type involved? The code already exists in a near bugless form, why would it be messed up for this particular one?

Just from testing it, it just seems to random. Sometimes it's higher, sometimes it's lower. That makes me suspicious it's random spread, especially since the numbers fall well within random damage spread.
With other "leech" guns, it's either a hard coded number, or a percentage. I believe this is the first weapon that does a 1:1 exchange.

100% is a percentage.
There's hardly an excuse for this to be botched in such a way.

These are the same people that messed up a revolver to the point where it shot through walls with giant hitboxes.

but...
It's Valve
They probably forgot 100% was possible using the Mad Milk coding
Heh...the picture of the steam unusual effect shows this:

fucking idiot, it used to have a actual picture.
I know I'm late but this just really pisses me off. Because I've SEEN how much better it'd look as an all-class. WTF valve? It looks big and goofy as hell on the spy.
"Unused content
There is a separate model file for each class, implying that this hat was originally intended to be for all classes.
The Nanobalaclava has coding in the VMT file that allows it to be paintable, but remains unused.".

Eh, it doesn't need to be all-class, that's for sure. Just mainly for Demo, since it makes sense in this point of time.
So the +15% damage on a fully charged shot is only useful for bodyshotters since a fully charged headshot already deals enough damage to kill the most powerful class.
They really didn't think this through did they.

The only threshold it alters is granting the ability to kill Demomen weilding the Pain Train or Claidheam Mor or Gas Jockey's Gear Pyros with a single bodyshot. Everyone else is at the same damage thresholds.
It also allows you to full charge bodyshot the light classes who are under the effects of the Battalion's Backup.
One shots are possible on Demomen and Pyros because of damage spread, they previously weren't.
Buff idea. The Short Circuit detonates enemy explosives, making their team take the damage. ?
