From the wiki about the short circuit:
This weapon does not distinguish between enemy and friendly projectiles and will vaporize both.
pfffahahahaha Valve.
Buff idea. The Short Circuit detonates enemy explosives, making their team take the damage. ?
Prone to griefing. Most notably with sticky traps. Damaging the person who created them is fine, but if you allow it to hurt their teammates it can cause some hell. It's already bad enough when a dumb/trolling Soldier gives an enemy Pyro free and easy reflects.
Buff idea. The Short Circuit detonates enemy explosives, making their team take the damage. ?
Wouldn't be all that useful with its short range.

hilarious as fuck
whats up players

That feeling must be good.
So the +15% damage on a fully charged shot is only useful for bodyshotters since a fully charged headshot already deals enough damage to kill the most powerful class. They really didn't think this through did they.
I had my third double kill with this weapon yesterday. The higher damage can help you to bodyshot the second target, while you're headshotting the first one. I really fell in love with that weapon.

I don't mean to piss on the bomfire here, but that demo would've died anyway ;p (unless it was the sticky jumper) Fucking funny though.
I don't mean to piss on the bomfire here, but that demo would've died anyway ;p (unless it was the sticky jumper) Fucking funny though.
I occasionally run around with the Sticky Jumper and Ullapool Caber. There is something really fun about that.
I occasionally run around with the Sticky Jumper and Ullapool Caber. With the new unusual effects does this mean a confetti Modest Pile could be in my price range?
With the new unusual effects does this mean a confetti Modest Pile could be in my price range?
Valve stated on SPUF that the updated effects were bugs anyway.
Valve stated on SPUF that the updated effects were bugs anyway.
"Unless they were improved", verbatim.
theres 2 steam football helms, lmao or 3, if that one is a new one
Haven't been on in a while, can someone posts screenshots of the new unusual effects?
Buff idea. The Short Circuit detonates enemy explosives, making their team take the damage. ?
or it does a short stun to enemys (sandman close range) or it does more damage along with the inevitable freindly fire fix
For some reason I can't see the Short Circuit's particles 90% of the time.
For some reason I can't see the Short Circuit's particles 90% of the time.
They don't show up unless you actually hit somebody or something at its ridiculously short range. If you miss (miss with an electrical field, wat) or you're too far, it won't show any indication except your loss of metal.

What I don't understand is, even if I pop a bunch of stickies near my sentry, how am I supposed to bounce back quickly enough with more metal before the demo just re-stickies up my stuff? I could just... use my pistol to get rid of them instead.

It could just have infinite ammo and still be balanced. It takes like a minute and a half of constant shooting to kill anything... so it's not like the infinite ammo makes it OP or anything. Plus the Wrangler is so powerful as a secondary, the Short Circuit doesn't have a chance...

For some reason, I can't snipe with the normal rifle, but using the Machina I pull off headshots with ease.
For some reason, I can't snipe with the normal rifle, but using the Machina I pull off headshots with ease.
Does it use the same scope? like the rest of the sniper rifles, i've never used it before..
i hate the short circuit with such a passion. ITS JUST SO GODDAMN USLESS
The Short Circuit's only use at this point is to troll demomen on your team.
its awefully good when it comes to destroy ennemy stickies near your sentry, you can survive a friggin ubered demoman thanks to this.
For some reason, I can't snipe with the normal rifle, but using the Machina I pull off headshots with ease.
I can't snipe with any of the rifles. Back to using my trusty Huntsman :v:
