its awefully good when it comes to destroy ennemy stickies near your sentry, you can survive a friggin ubered demoman thanks to this.
and thats about the only practical use of the weapon.
and thats about the only practical use of the weapon.
Coincidentally, it's also the intended use of this weapon. Imagineer that!
Coincidentally, it's also the intended use of this weapon. Imagineer that!
in that case its incredibly situational. And worthless since the pistol can do that as well, but also provide decent damage as well.
The purpose of the Short Circuit is to destroy those pesky stickies that show up near your sentry all of a sudden, you don't expect it to go around and capture points by itself, do you?
in that case its incredibly situational.
The purpose of the Short Circuit is to destroy those pesky stickies that show up near your sentry all of a sudden, you don't expect it to go around and capture points by itself, do you?
no, its just that compared to the pistol and the wrangler, its just crap and its gimmick is absolutely worthless apart from in one situation. A situation that occurs very rarely.
The purpose of the Short Circuit is to destroy those pesky stickies that show up near your sentry all of a sudden, you don't expect it to go around and capture points by itself, do you?
My pistol is enough most of the time to deal with stickies
Okay guys, I'll try destroying 4 stickies in less than a second next time with my pistol, thanks for the tip
Okay guys, I'll try destroying 4 stickies in less than a second next time with my pistol, thanks for the tip
and we'll gun you down using our pistols while also destroying stickies, at around the same rate as the demo can fire them, at no metal costs.
Was there any word if there will be some changes to the Nanobalaclava? Like make it smaller, make it all class...
I think it's a bad idea of mine starting to collect genuine items. Because I buy a bunch of stuff and this comes out. FUCK.
You can also camp your dispenser and hold down the fire button while looking in the general direction of an enemy soldier and you vaporize all his rockets.
and then you've stripped your dispenser of metal, and enemy team destroys your entire camp because you lack the metal to repair everything after the first wave of attack. 1 on 1 it's mediocre at its job if the other team has more than 1 person coming at you (which 90% of ubers and pretty much every effective Uber), then you're done, and using the Short Circuit is actually hurting you, as your wrangler shield and the ability to pinpoint the not ubered players and destroy them is much more useful then fending off the death of your sentry for an extra second but then not really accomplishing anything. Plus Demoman can shoot at a faster rate than you.
This looks way cooler in my opinion.
It does, but I think it would look too much like his normal hand from a distance.
This looks way cooler in my opinion.
And you can actually tell it's his hand.
It does, but I think it would look too much like his normal hand from a distance.
Until it starts shooting at you.
It does, but I think it would look too much like his normal hand from a distance.
There are no Engineer weapons that look like a normal hand. If you confuse it, it's your own damn fault for not recognizing that he's holding his hand like a gun.
There are no Engineer weapons that look like a normal hand. If you act on that, you'll probably not do so well when it turns out that it was actually a machine gun.

It's not that difficult to see if there's a wrench in his hands or not. Besides, that's the Pistol-holding pose.

If it just worked like a pistol, I guess it would be fine, but since it will probably never be in game, we won't get to know.
or it does a short stun to enemys (sandman close range) or it does more damage along with the inevitable freindly fire fix
My pose :buddy:
I would have thought a sapper themed on the Automatic unlocking device wouldn't have been totally out of the question for this update... pretty much the ultimate hacking device
Is anyone else missing the mechanical hand (and instead having the normal glove) on the pistol view model when the gunslinger is equipped? I think this update broke that, but it could just be me.
Sniper needs a debuff Engie weapons need a buff Spy weapon is all around good.
spy weapon is fantastic
Sniper needs a debuff
I don't know mate, the projectile trail is a pretty big deal. I agree 100% with the engineer needing a buff though, letting the short circuit have an infinite supply would be a great addition.
Short Circuit is underpowered. Think we can call that one pretty much a done deal. Machina is, at least in my opinion, a good alternate-playstyle sidegrade. Hitting multiple targets is, I think, the real game-changer, with the tracer downside. Firing out of scope and the extra 15% damage won't matter in the long run. Widowmaker could use a tweak for a bit more balanced weapon, but it's not too far. Make it cost 50 or 40 ammo and you've got a sidegrade. The Diamondback is a good concept, but a Spies' main target is backs, even in turtling situations. I think people that play that niche will be able to rock it, but in the long run it won't match the other three damaging revolvers.
Perhaps make the Widowmaker could have scaling damage/metal intake based on the amount of metal you currently have. 0 metal, high damage/high metal intake. 200 metal, low damage/low metal intake. If you try to use it as a combat shotgun, it would be a moderately powerful weapon as the scaling could potentially even out around the 100 metal mark. I could see it being useful for front line Engineers, where metal isn't always the most plentiful.

the widow should have 30% more damage its a piece of shit compared to the shotgun atm.
