The ice cubes thing is a reference to an urban legend that someone would buy you a drink in a bar, which would knock you unconcious. You'd then wake up in a bathtub full of ice cubes with a vital organ missing, and a telephone number for a hospital.

Nice that Spiral Knights items are tradeable, Unfortunately I quit playing after I got the Spiral Sallet.
