They should take the gunboats and just forget about that silly rocket jump business. Just strap a jetpack on him and let the Soldier fly around the stage permanently.

An extra, what, 20 or 30 pounds of metal on your boots would have an effect on that.[/QUOTE] There is not a lot of logic in the TF2 universe, never ending sandvich, scout able to get a bonk drink and a baseball out of thin air. Sniper having infinite jarates, Soldier having a bugle only usable after dealing a certain amount of damage when he blows it, weapons inflict more damage, Spy able to go invisible and Engineer able to build a teleport. But for some reason, when I suggest about making a buff, logic gets pulled in.
Gunboats are good as is. Dont let valve change a damn thing.
How about : -30% damage taken while rocket jumping ? (Maybe some more or less %, but it would be only active if : - you are in air - you are in air because of explosion - you are in air because of explosion caused by your own damage - it wasn't an airblast ) To encourage shock&awing a bit more.
